This is a good compilation for people with a large, gaping, hole in their brain where knowledge of what's what and who's who in classical music should be, like me!This is just a good, solid compilation with the sole directive of chilling out. I'd also recommend Aphex Twin: Ambient Works Volume 2.

Some of the songs are very relaxing and others are very jarring and chaotic. As a massage therapist these aren't good for listening to during a massage or while trying to relaxe. If you're having friends over for a nice dinner, this cd would be perfect.Free Music Review: Not the best

I have quite a few of the albums from the "Relaxation" series I have to say that this is not my favorite of the bunch. Although Beethoven is one of my favorite composers I do not think the tracks chosen for a relaxation CD quite hit the mark. As a reviewer said previously, I found quite a few of the tracks too lively and roboust for relaxation. And at times I found myself distracted from my reading or studying while playing this CD as I do with the others.
My recommendation: unless you are a huge Beethoven fan try Adagio for Relaxation instead.

Ok, I'll admit, this is a pretty good album, but it lacks the feeling of Beethoven. Its songs don't sound like Beethoven is playing, and its not too relaxing. It deserves three stars because of this lack of the great Beethoven himself. Sure, the songs are pretty, but I'd buy a different album if I was you.Free Music Review: Not the Best By beethoven Lover
