I always enjoy listening to a new FT CD for the first time as I'm blown away by the musical surprises and artistry that are trademarks of Béla's work. After a few spins, I settle down into the favorites - this time it is the title track, Outbound, which I play to celebrate a moment and then on to Scratch 'n Sniff which puts me in a playful,funky mood. At times it does feel a bit over-produced, like an ice cream binge, but, hey, that's ok!Free Music Review: Simply put.....Great Stuff

What a great CD! All fans will not be disappointed, as the guys are in top form on this outing. As previously mentioned, very diverse sounds that come together wonderfully. (Yes, I did want to buy beef after hearing Hoedown! ) As always the best way to appreciate their music (besides live) is with the lights out concentrating on individual instruments. It is then that the brilliance of each musician shines through. A definite buy.Free Music Review: Amazing music

THis is a cd that you listen to once, having never heard of them before, and hate it, you listen to it once more, you begin to love it, you listen to it again, and you have to buy it for yourself it is that amazing!! This is definately one of Mr.Fleck and companys better albums! I just got it today and listened to it five times already. The guests spots add to the rich musical tones of the album- esp. Mr.Medeski (also an awesome group! ) If you don't have it already- GO BUY IT! A five star masterpiece!Free Music Review: Best album I have ever owned!

My cousin told me about Bela Fleck a few months ago. I received this album for Christmas and it is incredible. Hoedown is my personal favorite but Aimum is good too. Buy this cd.
