Things just didn't seem right following the band's past couple of EPs ("Jonathon and David" & "Legal Man"), but I kept repeating to myself: 'it's great, it's great.' Very good, yes, but in reality, the B&S magic seemed to be fading. "Waking Up to Us" puts all concerns on hold. Potentially the band's strongest EP (which is saying a lot) and outstanding throughout. I dont know about the twee pop and cat stevens stuff but this is a wonderful cd single. Istead of a rehash of songs b&s have done before this is a totally new sound for them.(Not that a rehash of things they have done before is a bad thing.) Anyways I love all three songs and will not try to explain them just buy the cd if your into Belle and sebastian..Free Music Review: LOVE EVERY SONG

Great single/EP... one of their best, I think. I'm Waking Up to Us is fantastic. I Love My Car is a great shift for them musically. Marx & Engles, classic B&S lyrics. I HIGHLY recomend this. A MUST have for a B&S fan or for anyone genuinly interested in getting into them. Why take an SSRI when you have new B&S to listen to?Free Music Review: Best band in the world

Put together Belle & Sebastian's first three EPs and this EP and you have a collection to rival any album. Waking Up ... is solid, three class songs in the mold of their earlier material. A fantastic EP.
