This CD is a good one if you are lloking for a new sound of classical bellydance music. Some songs use a electronic bellydance sound. It's cool for variations. The music is great just for listening or for dancing. The first time I listened to this CD, I did not like it because I expected to hear some classical belly dance songs. There is my review for all the songs:
1)Raks Africa is not my favorite song, but it sound goog when it slow in the half-ending of the song.
2.Ay Ya Leil: it's a good song to bellydance. It's a modern pop version of arabic music.
3.El Salam: Hakim is always great. Good song for medium rythm dances.
4. Warda: This is my favorite song of this CD. This song has different music rythms, so you can do veil, afst turns, etc...it goes slow, medium and fast.
5.Ice Queen: It's ok. It's a electronic bellydance song.
6. talakik: Great to dance
7.neptidi....: It's classican arabic music..always good to dance
8.Chicky: This song is a lenctronic belly dance song. It's fun and cool to dance. Turkish rythms...
9.Sahra....Good song to do a drum solo...
10: Bitwannes Beek..Cool song, but I do not like for belly dance...maybe for gypsy dance
11-15...ok...classical belly dance music
16. Ya Habibi Albi is great for belly dance. This saudi singer is great. The song invites you to dance. One of my favorite songs.
Free Music Review: great starter compilation for beginners

I'm only telling it as it is: - Bellydance Superstars is a great album for someone who's on the cusp of venturing into the world of bellydance but without having to suffer from complete musical culture shock. I've had a lot of fun with the CD, despite its commercial-oriented and aesthetic aspect (thanks to Miles Copeland). I recently saw Bellydance Superstars performance feat. Vol. 2. The performance was an additional eye-opener and well worth questioning whether you're ready to move on to the more authentic North African/ Middle Eastern fare.All in all, if you're thinking of buying the CD I would recommend that you listen to it first to see if this is what you're looking for.

This is the perfect CD for those looking to get a varity of belly dance music with out spending too much. Enjoyed this group of belly dance numbers very much. I personally prefer more instrumentals, but, hey, nothing is perfect. The music is energetic and does get you moving. I give it a solid four stars
