Free Music Notes for Ben Folds FiveFree Music Review: Ben Folds Five - "Ben Folds Five". Review by David Dobson Hit: 5 Stars
This CD will bring enjoyment to anybody who likes this kind of music. Ben Folds Five use their combination of Piano, Bass and Drums to generate some great songs, that are put onto this brilliant CD that is a favourite of mine. The songs will make you experience a wide range of feelings and I would recommend this CD to anybody who has a wide taste in music. I myself, am mainly into classical music, but I enjoy listening to music of all sorts, and when a friend told me about Ben Folds Five, I was pleasently surprised at the enjoyment I got out of their songs. I regularly listen to their CDs because they are just great songs made by a great band.
Free Music Review: THIS IS GREAT!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Ben Folds is one of the most intelligent and creative performers in the music industry. I own two of the band's CD's, and they are both impressive in their own ways. I would recommend this album to everyone who enjoys piano and thought-provoking lyrics. "Philosophy" is a song to inspire you to express your individuality. "Best Imitation of Myself" makes you feel better about yourself. "Underground" is a humorous work , and "Alice Childress" is a song everyone can relate to in one aspect or another. This is not a cd, this is a revolutionary piece of art, paving the way for future artists and bands.
Free Music Review: Ivory-slamming, candy-coated, unbearably catchy bliss. Hit: 5 Stars
The 90's have had very few really good and original bands, but here proudly stands one. Folds' ability to hammer off hit after hit is a bit scary though. The guitarless trio presents an entire album of great songs of which pointing out the highlights would be useless; all the songs are good, which doesn't often happen. This album is unquestionably worth adding to any music collection, unless you don't like good music. Rarely does this happen, but go out and blindly buy this album. Don't wait, don't listen to sound clips, don't visit your local library, just head to your local music store. Surely one of the 90's best albums.
Free Music Review: A debut album for the ages Hit: 5 Stars
This album is mikely to be the best debut album in the past 10 years. Ben Folds is the best songwriter we have heard in a decade. This album is sure to be considered a classic. The emotion folds evokes through his writing brings chills through my body. The style in the album is better than any i have ever seen. Very reminiscent of Billy Joel's best album Turnstiles. Hints of Joel, Todd Rundgren, Joe Jackson, and Elton John can be heard throughout. A truly remarkable album persay "an album for the ages". Bone Chilling. And if you want to have an almost euphoric experience try one of their concerts.
Free Music Review: Unarguably their best Hit: 5 Stars
Although "Whatever and Ever Amen" highlights several songs which one should not live without (e.g., "Evaporated"), their first album is their best. In each song the magnificent power of the piano in rock and roll shines as it had never before Billy Joel. There is a personal feel to these songs, knowing that as they grow in your soul through time, they will NOT be overplayed like "Brick". Check out "Philosophy" "Underground" and "The Last Polka". Even "Boxing" "Sports and Wine" and "Video" can be so amusing.
