Free Music Notes for Ben Folds LiveFree Music Review: Ben rocks again! Hit: 5 Stars
This cd is a collage of songs recorded live from from Ben's tour "Ben Folds and a Piano". It's a great collection of songs (except I would have liked the rendition of "Song for the Dumped" to be on it). The sound is great, there is a little bit of dialog inbetween some songs which makes the cd even better. "Rock this B*tch" is hillarious! I got to see part of the tour which makes the c.d. even better! No Ben Folds fans should be without this cd! Also, a DVD is included which has some concert footage.
Free Music Review: Suprise Hit CD Hit: 5 Stars
Although I don't agree with some of the aforementioned reviews and their ideas of why this cd deserves 5 stars, I think that this CD surprised me into being one of the best that I own. I actually didn't like Ben Fold or his Five, but with this album I have grown to love and appreciate his creative talents. I feel that all the tracks on this cd are better on this cd than those that were produced in the studio. I would recommend this cd to anyone that is looking for a cd to chill to.
Free Music Review: for "one angry listener" Hit: 5 Stars
i'm sorry, but this will be the fourth time i seen ben (next wednesday in chicago), and i can't believe you were bored seeing ben totally solo. he tells hilarious stories about the songs, his videos, etc. i can't believe you didn't have fun. oh well, to each their own. for everyone else, if you can see ben totally solo, do it! he is my hero, being a fellow piano player. with regard to this live cd, i love it. the only song i wish it had on it was "eddie walker."
Free Music Review: Incredible Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is the best Ben Fold's has ever released, summing a truely inspirational career in music with Ben Folds Five and now alone. With nothing but a piano, he captures you from first track to last in ways many, if not most bands can't even dream of doing. Ben Folds has given the new younger generations one music outlet that is truely based on musical and creative talent. Let us only hope that CD is far from being the last we hear from Folds.
Free Music Review: Rock this B* Hit: 5 Stars
I became a Ben Folds fan with the release of Rockin' the Suburbs in 2001. Since then, I have bought everything with Folds' name attached to it. "Ben Folds Live" is a fantastic edition to my library. Highlights are "Brick" (the song means so much more when you find out what it's really about), "Army" (the audience doing the horns is just plain cool), "Tiny Dancer," and "The Luckiest." Some new songs, some old ones, all in all, a great disc!
