Free Music Notes for Fight for Your MindFree Music Review: Awesome- Hit: 5 Stars
Ben Harper is awesome! There is no other artist of this time that can take what he/she is feeling and what they beleive and put it into a song that is so fun and just makes you feel good inside. The thing I like most about this album is the lyrics. They have meaning and emotion that no one else can capture just like Ben. I would recommend this album to anyone and everyone who enjoys REAL music.
Free Music Review: Believe the hype Hit: 5 Stars
this is one of the best cd's i've heard in a long time. the soul with which ben harper sings ranks up there with stevie wonder and otis redding... i gotta say that if you love music you definately need to pick up this cd. lastly, the guy below this review is full of garbage, he's just a shameless self promoter who's jealous because he's still working at taco bell. trust me, the cd is amazing.
Free Music Review: The Best of Ben Harper is Right Here Hit: 5 Stars
"Fight For Your Mind" is probably the best of Ben Harper's albums. From the mix of the reggae/african sounds on "Oppression", to the Jimi Hendrix like "Ground on Down", to the simple acoustics of "Another Lonely Day", you have a wide varity of good music, and those are only the first three tracks. Other notables on the album include the ever famous "Burn One Down" and "Power of the Gospel".
Free Music Review: this album rocks da beef Hit: 5 Stars
this album is awesome. it mixes slow songs like "by my side", "another lonely day", and "please me like you want to" with conga-based tracks like "burn one down" (nice mary jane song), "excuse me mr.", and "oppression". this is an amazing album that every man, woman, and child should own. dig me? i knew that you could.
Free Music Review: Ben's Best Ever Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best album Ben has produced to date. Ben's music is a unique crossbreed of beautiful folk, Marley Reggae, Hendrix guitar, and Mississippi blues. In this album, Ben Harper's reggae influence shines through, particularly on "Oppression," "Burn One Down," and "By My Side." One of the best recordings of the '90's.
