have purchased the last couple of years.
I loved it from beginning to end. Leave it to Miss M. She sounds like she is having the time of her life doing this CD. Cd or Ipod download it does not matter just press repeat .....cause you will need nothing else.
The perfect CD for your holiday party.

I love Christmas music; I really, really do. Ms. M sings divinely in "Cool Yule"! In fact, this is now my favorite Christmas CD! (I'm listening to "Cool Yule" now, which inspired this review!)
Hubby gives Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" a slight edge over "Cool Yule," but, if you're seeking an upbeat, jolly Christmas CD, this is it! (McLachlan's "Wintersong" is wonderful, too, but slightly melancholy.)
In addition, this is the ideal CD for decorating and wrapping gifts! Give it to a Scrooge and watch the "bah, humbugs" disappear!
Time to feed Rudolph! Merry Christmas, all!

Bette sounds better than ever. I am loving the album and can't stop listening to it. From a distance is not one of my faves either but it never was. I did not really feel offended by the religious references....
Asia and Africa probably would love the cd also. Bette is Jewish I believe, and I don't recall Jesus in any of the songs....she mentions god who is a believed by many in different ways. It is a holiday cd and you kinda have to expect a bit of love and good will mixed in. If you don't like hearing about world peace and love....don't buy holiday music.

I bought this CD a few weeks ago and absolutely love it!! We have played it every day and will continue to do so throughout the holiday season. I have also purchased it for several of my friends and their reaction is the same as mine.......they all love it! The way Bette sings the standards, her wonderful Cool Yule, and her redo of From A Distance are all just amazing! BUY THIS CD!! What a treat this album is! Great tunes! Well produced! Bette's in wonderful voice! Some of the highlights are "Mele Kalikimaka" (a rare, fun song and classic Bette), "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and a great duet with Johnny Mathis. The new Christmas version of "From a Distance" is wonderful; surprisingly arranged and actually quite moving. I just love this album and plan on giving it to several people this Christmas! Thank you, Bette!
