Free Music Notes for I Am...Sasha Fierce (Deluxe Edition)

Free Music Review: Goodbye, Beyonce, Mrs. Knowles-Carter and Sasha Fierce are here!
Hit: 5 Stars

Beyonce's third solo effort is here and once again, she does not disappoint. I Am...Sasha Fierce is far from the upbeat and dance-track heavy B'Day and even further from her old sound of Dangerously In Love. While those two albums were very good and went platinum multiple times, Ms. Fierce has entered the scene and has taken away any doubt that this woman holds a mass amount of talent.

Disk 1 begins with her first single, If I Were A Boy and no matter how many times I've heard this, I can never bring myself to skip it. Beyonce tries something new with this set and surprisingly, it works. Halo follows IIWAB and will easily become a favorite track. Her vocal abilities power through this song and I have to say that I am very excited to see the video to this as it will be her second single along with Ego from the Sasha Fierce side, which I will get to soon. Disappear is a smooth track that, even though might seem like an album filler, holds a good production and once again, Beyonce's voice captures you in this song. Broken-Hearted Girl will easily become another favorite on this album. This song, along with Ave Maria and Smash Into You are where Mrs. Knowles-Carter truly shows just why she is the queen in the game right now. You can hear the emotion in her voice and she sings her heart out to a production that starts off simple and easy with a piano but slowly progresses to a tougher beat. Satellites and That's Why You're Beautiful, though very good songs, can seem like another album filler but again, the song does not go wrong and Bee shines once again. On the iTunes bonus, Save The Hero has become another favorite of mine. The lyrics are amazing and Bee seems to capture the emotion of the song very well.

Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) announces the arrival of the diva that is Sasha Fierce. Though this is clearly the disk that suggests that you loosen up and let the Sasha in you take over, vocally, she still shines and doesn't miss a beat. Radio becomes another good filler, if there is one, but leads into the female version "A Milli" called "Diva" where Beyonce pronounces that she's been the "Number one diva in this game for a minute" and frankly, I can not disagree. Sweet Dreams, which leaked months ago as Beautiful Nightmare, is fully completed and produced and sounds just as good as any other Beyonce track. (I can not wait to see this song become a video in her re-release video anthology). Video Phone is another filler track but leads into Hello and Ego - two songs that will easily become another pair of favorites. Scared Of Lonely, I feel, should have been on the the first disk as it isn't a dance track but once again, vocally, she brings it. The iTunes special Why Don't You Love Me, written by her sister, feel like a Dreamgirls track - but it definitely isn't a bad thing; she is much more vocally powerful than Deena Jones and her grunts add to track. I dare you to listen to that song without tapping, bobbing your head, or moving in some way.

The standouts of this album are: If I Were A Boy, Halo, Broken-Hearted Girl, Smash Into You, Save The Hero, Single Ladies, Diva, Hello, Ego, and Why Don't You Love Me.

Overall, Beyonce brings the heat once more and shows the current "singers" out there how to really do things.

5/5

Free Music Review: ATTENTION ALL BEYONCE FANS: MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

After purchasing I Am...Sasha Fierce (Deluxe Edition) on day one and listening to it pretty much daily since, I am ready to write my review.
FIRST OF ALL I HAVE A WORD OF ADVICE TO OFFER TO DIE HARD BEYONCE FANS: MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS! DO NOT BUY ANOTHER BEYONCE ALBUM EXPECTING THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL OR DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE 2, 3, 4, ETC!!!!!!!! I sense a trend developing here. This is no artist you will be able to put in a box as many of the earlier reviewers seem to want to do.
One thing I really admire about Beyonce is that she does not submit to the pressure to create the same project time and time again. If you think of the sets artists of her genre put forth you often do not find something that is distinctly different from their previous releases. Beyonce proves she is not afraid to weather criticism about the direction she decides to take. To me that's true artistry. She is making the music she wants to make and resists following trends. Case in point. Only 4 of the 16 tracks showcase production by what I would consider mainstream producers. The others are unfamiliar names yet she still delivers a great project. Even the usual almost guaranteed guest appearances were removed from the formula this time. Instead of more collaborations with her husband you have songs like DISAPPEAR and EGO where you imagine she is singing about him instead. I think the naysayers of this album will be those who are resistant to change. They will be upset that she didn't do what they expect her to do. Well good for her. There are plenty other artists recording who are willing to do just that. This album is mature, artistic, and my prediction is that it will be award winning. I think she has a wide range of cuts that will appeal to the masses and will expand her fan base. She was aware that while she wanted to venture into other arenas she had to include tracks that her long time Destiny's Child fans could still appreciate. I do not see any misteps with the album. I enjoyed the gentle lyricism of the acoustic 'I AM' side and the confident attidude of the the 'SASHA FIERCE' side where you find the familiar heavy hitting Beyonce tracks. One of the many lyrical highlights is the line in Satellites when she says, IF WE DON'T COMMUNICATE / WE'LL EXIST IN OUR OWN SPACE. This line and this song in my view describes what happens in so many failed relationships.
The alto ego idea of this release seems to be a good idea to keep the fans excited about her. To me it seems that Beyonce is very aware of how fans can become complacent with artists over time. If fans of old have an open mind about this album and don't try to compare it to her previous efforts I think they will come to see it as the work of art it is.

Free Music Review: Beyonce's Best Vocally
Hit: 5 Stars

Though I've loved Beyonce for years, it took me a while to buy one of her albums. All I can say is, I made the right choice! I've heard "B'Day" (I bought the Deluxe Edition just for "Flaws n' All," but after a first listen, I could not comprehend why they'd ruin such an amazingly beautiful, touching song by adding some weird scratching background sound. Horrible. Plus, many of the other songs were too thumpy-rappy, making "Flaws n' All" feel awkwardly out of place. In fact, they should have added "Flaws n' All' to "I Am...Sasha Fierce"! I returned the CD.) OK, enough about "B'Day."

If you love Beyonce for her gorgeous vocals (which her hip-hop/rap/street songs do not showcase, to say the least), "I Am...Sasha Fierce" is the CD for you. The minute you hear the first track, you'll notice that Beyonce's growth as a singer is undeniable and exciting. This is a 2-disc release and yes, I've read the complaints about the two CDs being wildly different, what's the point, etc. While it might have been nice for the entire album to be ALL ballads and songs that truly showcase her vocals, I have to say her singing is featured first and foremost on all tracks, which makes the whole album very enjoyable, in part because of the disparity, and, bottom line, it's Beyonce at her very best. Now in her late 20s, her voice is richer and stronger, and we're hearing her gifted range like never before. She's also sounding more confident at this stage, as she should. This is the Beyonce from Oscar night 2005, when she belted out an unprecedented three-song set. Those performances blew me away and she definitely left me wanting more. This is the big, bold, beautiful voice I hear on "I Am...Sasha Fierce."

The first CD - her softer, slower, more personal collection - is just that, and all the songs are beautiful in their own way. These are true, classic ballads (such as "Halo"), and you're treated to one whole CD of beautifully written songs and incomparable vocals. But when I'm in the mood to crank up "Single Ladies," in goes the second CD, her "Sasha Fierce" side. It's definitely more pumped up, but almost none of the songs fall into the earlier hip-hop/Jay-Z-inspired style of many of the B'Day songs, for example. The second "Fierce" CD songs are definitely lively and witty, yet still melodic and varied. But again, her voice is what you hear, not all the noise. You can't go wrong with this album.

Free Music Review: Energetic, hot and VERY danceable !!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow I am not sure where Beyonce got all that energy from, but this double CD album is definitely hot !!
In fact I dont recall a single song I dont like.

On the first CD you will find ballad type songs. If you expect now to get some sad, melancholic versioned songs you will be hard pressed. Whats special about these ballad versions is how confident and strong Beyonce is bringing them across. So also they are ballads they come across as very powerful.

On the second CD she is blending pop, soul, gangsta rap, hip hop, dancefloor etc. and even some techno and trance elements very sensitive together.

This album is definitely extremely well produced in any aspect !!
Obviously the songs are well produced but it doesnt stop there alone.
Beyonce and her producers have literally gone the extra miles to make this album stand out. The photos show her in all type of lingerie and fictional costumes and you can tell that the photographers did not avoid anything to make her standing out. If its not the costumes that grap your attention than its the light effects, the way the photo is taken or just plain Beyonce herself. The lyrics texts unfortunately are only included for the first CD, but hardcore Beyonce fans probably know them anyway ;-)

Overall this double CD pack is an adrenalin patch you cant effort to miss !!

A note for (Asin:B001F6QISQ) - The Japan import counterpart double CD:
I saw on Amazon that they also sell the import CD version which claims to come with a Bonus DVD and a mini poster. It happens that I bought that very CD from Amazon in Japan and unless mine shipped without Amazons description is NOT right. But it does have the lyrics for BOTH CD's even in English and Japanese. An extra CD label was added on the outside box in a shiny metallic black to grap your attention on this one. The import version also has the two additonal songs "Save the Hero" and "Why dont you love me".

Free Music Review: Evolution of BEYONCE' MUSIC
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all I want to say this album is much better then the last album B'day. This album is more complete. There are both emotional and quick songs. You feel peaceful and balance after u listen to this album! BDAY IS WAY TOO NOISY AND ANNOYING FOR ME. She definitely improve her taste

2nd of all, I want to compliment for her courage to jump out of her circle. Her songs are really very different compare to her last two albums. This evolution may not be other people's favourite but for me it is absolutely perfect! (I am) contain things which are more personal. This part is like her diary. She is going through the stories in her life. I like some of the songs like "If I were a boy, Halo, and Ave Maria." There is one song which I want to recommend. The song is "Broken-Hearted Girl" Whenever I listen to this song, I will feel a sense of heat pierce through my body. Even though I am a guy, I can absolutely understand the feelings of a broken-hearted girl because a lot of my female friends has been tricked by a lot of guys. This song is definitely a best choice for girl who broke up with her BF.

The 2nd CD is one of the more energize and fast disc. It has a lot of fast tempo and funky songs but IN MY OPINION is not as good as (I AM...). Some of the good songs are(Sweet Dreams, Diva and Hello). One song I want to recommend is Radio. It is one of the best song is this album. This song includes a lot of disco and future elements. Which is quite interesting! Beyonce also express her vocal versatile in this song which is wonderful!

Last, I want to sae this album is really Beyonce' heart and soul. I can feel it. I can also feel that she is changing her taste every dae. Things that are once her favourite are no longer her favourite anymore. She is evolving evrydae and getting more mature which also affected her fans. Her fans are getting more mature toO. This is what every singers should learn from. Dont always stay in the same circle.:)
