Free Music Notes for I Am...Sasha Fierce (Deluxe Edition)Free Music Review: WOW--Beyonce at her absolute BEST!! Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album in November when it came out--and I have simply not stopped playing it! I LOVE Beyonce and I LOVE Sasha Fierce!
B'Day, in my opinion, was a somewhat mediocre album but Beyonce has really stepped up her game with this album. It is, in fact, due to this album that I have now become a new Beyonce fan and really anticipate what she does next!
The first disc is more slow and peaceful--nonetheless they are still really catchy. Outstanding tracks would have to be Halo, Broken-Hearted Girl, Smash Into You and Satellites! However, all the others are still amazing...Then the second disc--WOW, WOW and WOW. Radio, Hello, Sweet Dreams, Ego and Scared of Lonely are simply some of the best songs out there and I'm disappointed she didn't release any of them. There is only one track on each disc (Video Phone and That's Why You're Beautiful) that I wasn't impressed with, but this has got to my favorite CD of 2008, and its permanently in my stereo! BUY IT!!!
Free Music Review: Nothing I expected from Beyonce. Hit: 5 Stars
What can I say? This album reminds me of a "sophmore" CD as it relates to trying out something new. In my opinion, it works big time. If you are expecting the "Crazy in Love, Upgrade You, Bootylicious" Beyonce of old, you will be surely dissappointed.
In this one album, she has quieted her critics. The lyrics are great and while some of the ballads don't show the true extent of what we've seen from Beyonce, they are nonetheless performed nicely. What I hear is growth and maturity. Admittedly, some of the songs could have been very easily sung by Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson or even Faith Hill. However, there is only one Beyonce. I appreiciate the cross-over appeal on this album. Unlike other albums, she really makes use of her lower register and shies away from her usual vocal gymnastics.
BY FAR, this is her best album to date. The question is whether her fans (not the haters) will appreciate the non-formulaic approach to this album.
Free Music Review: I thinks it's pretty good. Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album the day it came out. I was always a Beyonce fan and I am interested in all her songs and albums. She has beautiful voice and amazing range. I like the first disc but not from the first listen. It had to grow on me. My favorites from the first disc are "Disappear" and "That's Why You're Beautiful". The second disc had me dancing all over the place and it was more exciting. My favorites are "Sweet Dreams", "Ego," "Single Ladies" and "Diva".I think I like Sasha Fierce better. The Beyonce disc gets kind of boring.I know Beyonce is probably not a boring person but I think she could've spice the Beyonce disc up. She should've added more up-tempo songs to it. Yet I don't really see a day and night difference between Beyonce and Sasha. All her albums sound like Sasha and Beyonce. I don't see how she took a creative risk. All and all I think it is a good album. It deserves a listen. It has nice balladry, fun melodies and quiet yet explosive energy.
Free Music Review: A Warm Place Hit: 5 Stars
After playing this cd several times today, I CANNOT stop listening to it. There are a couple songs that make me feel warm and comforting and just simply blissful----Halo, Disappear, Ave Maria,Hello, Broken Hearted Girl and Satellites. I understand now what she meant by this I AM part of the cd being more revealing of where she is right now. I get a sense that she is in a place of grown deep love and bliss - she make you want to be in love if your not.
Songs like - Single Ladies, Ego, Diva and Video Phone all songs to listen to when going out with your girls or just when you need to get your swagger on.:-)
Radio and Sweet Dreams - just cool fun soft rock songs.
Please give this project a chance. I loved it from the first go around but I understand it might take others more listening. Great Great Work! Beyonce is still the #1 chic in the game. Enjoy it!
Free Music Review: Great Album, Amazing Artist Hit: 5 Stars
Leave it to Beyonce to take risks because that is exactly what she did on this album and what a great result.
With "I Am..." she shows you the true artistry that she possess. From songs like the hit single "If I Were A Boy" to the next potential "Halo", she definitely caters to the masses. But on song like "Ave Maria", "Satellites", and "Broken-Hearted Girl" she digs deep down and professes her love for someone special past and present. Anyone can relate to these songs.
On "Sasha Fierce" she is fierce indeed! With club-ready hits like "Radio" and "Diva" we are sure to hear these songs being bumped in the club and they are sure to get you moving. While "I Am..." is more personal we get the true diva that is Beyonce represents here. She definitely does herself justice and also her fans.
5 Stars all the way...Beyonce just keeps getting better and better!
