Free Music Notes for Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow Right!Free Music Review: BILL COSBY'S DA MAN!!! Hit: 5 StarsAs to say Bill Cosby is one of my all-time heroes in the making of comedy, TV, and whenever u wanna call it. He sure keeps it real w/o the blasphemy, the dirty talking, the dissing and all of that. No he doesn't talk like that like Richard Pryor who was the most controverial people in comedy history still one of his biggest fans.
One thing you can't hate on Bill Cosby 'cuz he never goes out of style when he's doing a comedy gig, a comedy talk, or else just being more sensitive, y'understand? People believe that he push buttons on people on not being fair or right in the community. Long story short, I adore as a person who has the ability to real and to talk about it in person. Asides being a comic, he's also a actor, doctor, enterepreneur and activist who helps people (e.g. comedians, actors, musicians, teacher, ministers, kids, etc.) on how to survive in the industry and how to be more effective in the black business of entertainment. I also he's such a powerful inspiration to me and I luv him from the top.
Ok back to the beginning to the album, when I first pick this up since BILL'S BEST FRIEND (which is one of my favorite comedy albums I own from him), it speaks about the truth of life, sex, drugs, action, gravity, self-love, honor, respect, and trustworthiness and self-control. 'Specially 3 or so of my fav. comedy flicks from him off the album are Little Tiny Hairs (which talks about lil hairs comin' offa him or growing back or so), The Noah Trilogy (Right!, And The Neighbor, and Me and You Lord) which deals with the situation of Noah creating a Ark 4 his animals and speaking to His Master like what it saids about the Bible. I was laughing so much when he talks about jokes about he's gonna say and what he's not gonna do, y'feel me on this one? Anyway, long story and then on Superman (which is nother one of my favorite flicks on the album) deals w/ a black man dressing like mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent to transform and take off his clothes to become the action hero of Superman (based off the DC Comics character) trying to protect the world, y'knahmsayin?
Well, long period of time, as to say this is somethin I haven't listen in many years, boy it's been a long time, I still play it to this day, along w/ others lie 200 M.P.H, The Best of Bill Cosby, amongs others I don't have are Revenge, Bill Cosby "Himself", Why Is There Air?, etc.
Free Music Review: Where's the DVD? Hit: 4 StarsI saw Bill do the Noah routine on TV a long time ago, when I was a kid - his facial expressions and actions made it far funnier than just listening to it. I laughed so hard I cried --- WE NEED THE DVD!!!
Free Music Review: Cosby Circa 1963 As Funny As Now Hit: 5 StarsBill Cosby's gifted comedically in ways the average sitcom actor dreams of, and has created a level of standup few compete with. He is a master artist, and no mere funnyman. "Bill Cosby Is A Very Funny Fellow... Right!" is one of his best efforts.
Having found "Himself" to be hilarious, I expected more of the same. It is isn't. Instead of stories about his childhood, or his family's adventures at home, he gives us a story about Noah and God talking over how the ark should be built, how his coach would inspire the team, the trouble Superman might run into while changing in the tollbooth, and two cows discussing the dilemma of having hoof and mouth disease. Then there's his story about riding the subways, finding a nut in every car, and the advantages of knowing karate.
As always, Cosby makes the mundane incredibly funny.
The drawback of the CD is there's no video. While Cosby isn't as physical of a comic as some, he still uses the stage, mike and chair as props. A DVD version of this must be great.
I fully recommend "Bill Cosby Is A Very Funny Fellow... Right!" It is Bill Cosby at his best, but he's always at his best.

Free Music Review: What's a cubit? Hit: 4 StarsThis was Bill Cosby's very first album. It sold over a million copies, and the rest is history. Most of this material holds up well today, but the bits about athletes doing razor blade and hair tonic commercials are a bit dated. The absolute classic routines are the ones about Noah. This is a very funny album. Recommended to fans of classic comedy. Right!
Free Music Review: A Comic Sensation Hit: 5 StarsDid you know that Bill Cosby's first 7 albums were all million sellers and that he had a top 10 novelty pop single in 1967 titled "Little Ole Man ( Uptight-Everything's Alright). This cd is one of those million sellers. Bill is also a cowboy/western movie aficionado and so am I. He produced a great western in the early 70's called "Man and Boy" which they show on the westerns channel periodically. Bill said his favorite cowboy was the late Joel McRae, I would've guessed Gary Cooper or Gene Autry or "The Bronze Buckaroo" Herb Jeffries, but Mr. McRae was a classic cowboy. This cd is a classic and a must own and thanks Bill for bringing attention to some important issues in the African American community-it's time for someone to speak up-Love ya brother!
