Free Music Notes for Revenge

Free Music Review: This is some REALLY funny stuff......
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm 39 now. My Mom used to listen to these albums when she was a teenager, and years later, she would to play them for me all the time when I was young. Instead of plopping me in front of the tv, we'd sit and listen and imagine Cosby on stage and we'd be laughing right along with the audience. I have been listening to them ever since. All these stories have held up wonderfully after over 40 years. Bill Cosby is a master comedic story teller - and most of what he is telling is through real life experience.

"Revenge" and Wonderfulness are Bill Cosby's funniest albums. Highly recommended to anyone who has never heard Cosby's old bits, and also to anyone that wants to enjoy them again.

The bits on "Revenge" are some of the funniest I've ever heard Cosby do with "The 9th St Bridge" being one of my all time favorites.

Been laughing to this for over 30 years...,

Free Music Review: Bill Cosby is "Smoking!"
Hit: 5 Stars

Revenge, Smoking, 9th Street Bridge and Buck Buck are my favorite tracks on this CD. The other tracks are OK. I grew up listening to Bill Cosby and his childhood stories are woven in with my own memories. Few things I remember as clearly as listening to Bill Cosby with my brother and sister. It was not too often that we would have fun together - but listening to Bill Cosby tell the stories of his childhood stopped our bickering and brought us together for a short time. And of course we could watch the stories come to life every Saturday morning on the cartoon FAT ALBERT.
Revenge, has one of my favorites, "Smoking." As the oldest and first to try everything - Smoking - brings back my own memories of trying 'be cool' in the early 1970's and enables me to shake my head and laugh at myself.

Don't miss out on this great live recording. Suitable for most ages.

Free Music Review: "I told you that story, let me tell you this one..."
Hit: 5 Stars

This 1967 comedy album finds Bill Cosby hitting full stride, telling wonderful stories about his childhood friends Fat Albert, Old Weird Harold and the rest. Without relying on jokes for his standup routines he tells stories, gets into his characters and then absolutely slays you with great payoffs such as "I forgot I was behind him." "9th Street Bridge" is the classic routine, but "Buck, Buck" and "Revenge" are not that far behind. Hopefully someday we can get an album that has all of Coz's childhood stories collected together (and another talking about his own kids). The Fat Albert cartoons were nothing compared to the original stories. Enjoy them again (or for the first time if for some reason you missed out way back when).

Free Music Review: My FAVORITE Cosby!
Hit: 5 Stars

Bill Cosby has a way of telling stories that mix reality with hilarity. No matter how skewed the telling may be, he always makes it seem absolutely believeable! Being a long-time fan of Cos (since the late 60's) I've got 23 of his albums in my collection-- but THIS tops the list! "Revenge", "9th Street Bridge" and "Buck, Buck" comprise 3 of the funniest routines I've ever heard. My best friend & I have spent decades reciting whole passages of Cosby's material verbatim-- so much has he become a part of our consciousness! (Only Lou Gottlieb of THE LIMELITERS has probably had as much influence on my thinking and speaking style!) "Hey mister! What time is it?"

Free Music Review: Revenge is sweet.
Hit: 5 Stars

Bill Cosby is at his best on "Revenge," which contains one of his well-known routines, the title track involving Junior Barnes and slushballs. Cosby's memories of raising children are priceless, but his memories of being a child himself are some of his most vivid, hilarious stories. If your friends don't know who Fat Albert is, or what Buck Buck is, either get new friends, or force them to listen to this album. There's no way to explain these things to your friends either, but to let them hear it from Bill Cosby himself (pun intended for those who truly understand).
