Growing up listening to Bill Cosby, to my recollection he was the first stand up comic with whom I became aware. Literally eating up every word from his albums, by the age of 10 I was reciting many of his routines annoying my parents (and teachers as well). Recently my 10 year old discovered "The Bill Cosby Show" in the form of reruns on Nickelodeon. So I introduced him to his earlier stuff, available now on CD. What a surprise to find him laughing hysterically at the same lines I loved as a kid. This stuff is timeless.Free Music Review: Tonsil's & Chicken Heart are pure Wonderfulness

One of the best things about Bill Cosby's early comedy is that it is very family oriented and very funny. He has a way of weaving a tale that has you rolling with laughter and nodding your head in agreement at the same time. I grew up listening to his albums and I played the same old worn out ones for my kids. Wonderfulness is one of the best. Chicken Heart is by far the best track, with Tonsils running a close second. I was thrilled to get the cd to start our collection off. We can now retire our albums in peace.

As a stand-up comic myself people often ask me who were my influences and Bill Cosby is definately one of them. NOBODY today can get an audience to listen to childhood stories like the way Bill Cosby could back then and these are some of his best. I can't even imagine how many times he told these stories over and over and played with the wording to get them this good. He was and always should be remebered for his stand-up. For me, for all he's done since, his stand-up was his shinning achievement in the art of comedy.Free Music Review: "Cos" is as funny as ever.

I grew up listening to my aunt's Bill Cosby vinyl LP's, and this was one of them. When I accidentally scratched the record one day while trying to put it on the turntable myself, I felt guilty for years afterwards. For this reason, I was thrilled when I saw that Amazon had many of Bill Cosby's classic records on CD. Finally, a chance to right old wrongs! I promptly bought this CD for my aunt's present last Christmas, and she tells me she loves it. Best Tracks: "Tonsils" and "Go Carts".Free Music Review: "Ice Cream, We're Gonna Eat Ice Cream!!"

As a kid in the mid 1960's I was introduced to that wonderful story and song on this majestic album of comedy. I loved it so much that during baseball practice, I would stand in the outfield an "sing" that song at the top of my lungs! Needless to say, I was given the nickname "Ice Cream" and to this day I will bump into someone that still calls me by it. I learned all the cuts on this album and could recite many of them word for word. Bill Cosby is a very funny fellow, right?
