A marvelous musical, different and creative using the art of stagecraft (without techno special effects) to tell an extrordinary story of real life co-joined twins (I have been told that the label "Siamese twins" is un-PC). Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley were amazing as the twins, effectively convincing even though they didn't have a prosthetic device or costume joining them. They deserved the co-Tony nomination they received.
The score is extremely melodic, several gorgeous ballads, as well as assorted numbers for the Sideshow and theaterical venues the twins moved on to, making it all colorful and effective.
One of the best musicals of the 90's, hugely overlooked and totally deserving of a longer run than the 3 months that it played.
