Free Music Notes for Mermaid AvenueFree Music Review: What an incredible CD! Hit: 5 Stars
From the moment I first heard the songs on this album on the radio I knew I had to have it. Since I bought it over a year ago I have listened to it countless times and I never get sick of it. The songs are incredible. I can only imagine Woody Guthrie looking down and smiling about what a good job they did.
Free Music Review: Three months later, I can't put it down. Hit: 5 Stars
When I bought it and listened to it for the first time, I enjoyed and admired the adventurous project that resulted in this CD. Now that I've had it for a few months, however, I can't stop listening to it. Tired of lugging the thing back and forth, I'm considering getting a second copy to keep in my office.
Free Music Review: the most inspiring collaboration ever Hit: 5 Stars
this album has changed the way i view music. guthries lyrics touch me deeper than any modern day generational icon, and that fact will stick with me.bragg and wilco did a splendid job of bringing these thoughts too us. thanks too billy, jeff and co., woodie and nora for all that they have done and will do.
Free Music Review: Walt Whitman previously unrecorded Hit: 5 Stars
Billy Bragg and Wilco (what a combo!) team up on previously unrecorded Walt Whitman writings and the result is increcible. This is still one of my favorite albums, and, although my husband and I play a wide variety of music, this is an album that everyone likes. For me, it's perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Free Music Review: as if you need to read another review Hit: 5 Stars
but i have to say something. I love this cd. it's the best cd i've heard in a long time. the lyrics are inspired, billy bragg and jeff tweedy did them justice with the music they wrote for it. it's incredible. And Hoodoo Voodoo is one of the funnest (is that a word?) songs to sing along with. Woohoo!
