Free Music Review: He's gone solo... and its AMAZING

1. 5/5 what a good opening for a CD. In true Billy Corgan fashion, you have his amazing voice and the amazing twisted beat from the start.
2. 5/5 I'm loving the guitar of this one... very reminiscent of Smashing Pumpkins. I don't know how Billy Corgan does it, but its got the quick drum beat, the sliding electric guitar... and his unique voice.
3. 5/5 I think this is my favourite song. Read the lyrics of this song... I love them. The music is completely different from SP or Zwan. Its something you have to listen to in order to understand what I mean. You're almost anticipating something to happen when you hear that beat
4. 4.5/5 this song is amazing too, it only loses half a point because of lyrics remind of other songs. "You don't know what it's like, to love somebody, the way I love you"... but it's done in a very uniquely Billy Corgan
5. 5/5 Bringing it all back to early Smashing Pumpkins in this song... heavy beat, heavy guitar and abstract lyrics. Score!

12. 5/5 The music in this one is amazing.... This song is the best to show his voice. And in true Billy Corgan style, it's a toned down song from the heavier ones at the beginning. A perfect closing for a CD.

I think the most important part of this CD to remember is that Billy Corgan has gone solo. This is a great album even though in his interviews he says he's in love with Smashing Pumpkins and he had never wanted to go solo like he did,. I've been waiting to see what he could do on his own, and he has proven that he can still pull together a spectacular album. This is an album with a lot of powerful lyrics that really reflect who he is and who he has become since two very dramatic band break-ups. Although I absolutely LOVE Smashing Pumpkins with all my heart.... I have to say, Billy Corgan's fantastic talents really do shine in this album.

If you like the Smashing Pumpkins' cds, Zwan or even Billy Corgan's book "Blinking with Fists", you should go out and buy this. Its about time... I've been waiting a long time for this album, Billy.
