I purchased this CD for my daughter and I to listen to after having seen the Broadway play in New York. It comes with two CDs. The one with the boy who plays Billy Elliot in the original cast recording singing the songs and another with Elton John singing a few of the songs. It is a wonderful CD and my daughter and I have enjoyed listening to it over and over. I reminds us of the play and of being in New York and it sounds exactly like the sound of the Broadway play as we heard it in New York.
Highly recommend!

This is a great cast recording of the show, Billy Elliot.
I took my 12 year old granddaughter to see the show in New York City
and of course as soon as we left the theater she wanted the recording.
I explained to her how we could acquire it for less on Amazon. I gave
it to her recently and she was thrilled. Plus it had a bonus CD containing
3 songs from the show by Elton John. Great Show and Amazon is a great place
to get music for less!

well..I am a fan of stage musical..and I've just been blown away by Billy Elliot. grat music, perfect lyrics and ashstonishing singing.
It has everything a stage musical should have and it's hard to sit still when you listen to it...the music and tap dancing it's just contagious...
the only problem with the Europen edition was the absence of the lyrics! But it seems that in the US you will get them.

Were we "born to Boogie?" My tap group is doing a number from this show so I wanted to hear the whole score of Billy Elliot. It's a hit in my book. Lyrics are very clear with tunes that stick with you. If the word hell were not used quite so much my granddaughter could have enjoyed it more. She's seven so I had some tap dancing and 'splainin' to do. But great music, style and words by Elton John. Saw the movie years ago, now want to see the musical.Free Music Review: Worth!

This soundtrack is TOTALLY worth the price!!! MUSIC IS BEAUTIFUL!! ELTON JOHN HAS HAD A HIT AGAIN!!!! ONE problem, would not let anyone under 13 listen to it! The Language in it is not very appropriate for anyone under 13! The language is only bad in a few songs, but in those, its pretty ugly! So ... not too bad! Would reccomend it to any Elton John on Broadway lover!!!
