Upon recieving this CD I placed the other Billy Idol greatest hits in my car where it can get scratched, lost, stolen, or perhaps melt at some point in favor of this disc for the house. The other one was nice, but it comes down to about the last 3 or 4 songs that make this ideal for the Idol fan to get alot in a one disc collection. I'm not one to buy everything by him, although the Singles collection from Generation X is good, and add this and I'm a casual Idol fan still I guess.
Love the new songs "John Wayne" (a fav), and the last track also "New Future Weapon". Also the inclusion of "Speed", and a Devils Playground song in "World Comin' Down" which is a decent song also.
I was never a big fan of the latter half of the first Idol greatest hits (or at least the one with Don't You (Forget About Me), and an acoustic "Rebel Yell" (No...just no). So this one ups the ante and gives him a proper collection in my eyes anyway.
All the big hits are here, one by one they come and go and then you still get some rock stuff at the end to keep it going and fresh, not some boring new tracks either that sound like experimental tracks, these songs to me are up to par with the rest of the Cd.
Good, great, fabulous, 5 stars...and I may get Devils Playground eventually also, since I've heard 2 or 3 songs now from it and it sounds pretty decent.
