Free Music Review: It's Still Rock N Roll To Billy!

What can I say? Lifelong Billy fan. He's the best ever and this doesn't dissapoint. In fact, it's actually better than his next best live release, Songs In The Attic. I was at many of the NY shows and this CD captures the essence of live Billy Joel perfectly.
His voice has aged like a fine wine. It is now rich with feeling and yet he can still belt out all the high notes we're used to hearing. This is a career spanning set that shows Billy and the band in impeccable form.
For die hard fans like myself, it's such a treat to hear rarities like Laura, Great Wall Of China, The Night Is Still Young and many more. It shows the diversity of Billy as an artist and confirms his place in rock history as our greatest songwriter.
It doesn't get any better...unless of course he wrote an album of new material...:)

in my opinion, anyabody who can sell out a 20,000 seat arena in america deserves serious respect, and billy already gets it from me! i only saw him in 1993 during the "river of dreams" tour and 1998 on his "greatest hits" tour, and hearing some of his classics in a 40 year old hockey rink makes for great sonic audio listening pleasure. i'm not gonna get into specifics here, hell, most of us already know the great american billy joel songbook, but if anybody out there who saw him this spring, did he perform "rosalinda's eyes", or "all about soul" at any of his stops? those songs would have been treats to hear live, seeing that they are my personal favorites. but hey, i won't complain, i'll just blast this through the speakers and let billy and the fans take care of the rest. enjoy!!!Free Music Review: Billy back on FORM!!!!!!

After the disappointment of Billy's last release, the excreable 2000 Years: Millenium concert, I never thought thought that he would scale the heights of live performance again. But I was wrong! And was I glad to be so. This album is the consummate Billy Joel live album which gets everything right; song selection, performance and production. It can stand proudly alongside Songs In The Attic and as such those are the only 2 live Joel albums you'll need. Avoid 2000 Years and Kohept and you'll be in Billy Joel Live Heaven.
Now Billy if you should catch sight of this review I and all your millions of fans urge, plead and beg you to release a live DVD of one of these MSG show's. We know they were recorded so if you're saving them as a Christmas 2006 present for us then that's cool!

First off, it's Billy Joel sounding and playing as great as he ever did. It's a live CD so you get chills up and down your spine as you listen to these songs and hear the crowd go crazy and sing along to every note. I especially love live CDs in which you can hear the crowd in the background.
This is an amazing 32!!! songs for the price of $11.97. Is there a better deal around?
It's a compilation of all his greatest hits over his illustrious legendary career. If you are new to Billy Joel, get this CD to hear all of his favorites. And if you are a long time fan, of course you will know all these songs inside and out, but still it's worth the money to have all the songs on one CD and you get the live crowd feel.

My family lives in Chicago. Billy Joel didn't tour Chicago this year (2006), so we flew to Hartford, CT to see him on March 10, 2006 (his first show this year). For those of you who were there, I had a sign that said: I'm 11 years old. I can play Allentown. I play his music well on the piano. Going to his concert was the best moment of my life. Then, once I found out that he released a live CD from Madison Square Garden recorded in April, I jumped over it. I still never used my gift card to Best Buy, so I used it for that. It was like I was at the concert all over again. IF YOU WENT TO ANY OF HIS CONCERTS, OR IF YOU ARE A BILLY JOEL FAN, THIS IS ONE OF HIS BEST ALBUMS YET. YOU MUST GET THIS!
