Free Music Review: Like Being There, But Cheaper

Billy Joel's last concert tour was sold out everywhere he went, and this CD captures the essence of the excellent set. Banter and spontaneity are not BJ's forte, so you don't have to feel you're missing anything, but the renditions of the songs are top-notch, and the backup band is excellent. Joel's vocals aren't what they used to be, and quite few of the songs are played in lower keys to accomodate the Piano Man's decreased range. We all get old, and kudos to Billy Joel for learning to adapt as needed.Free Music Review: Blew Me Away

I have always been a Billy Joel fan as well as a "Live" album fan. This one simply blew me away. The previous Millenium concert was good but this is simply amazing, from a great selection of songs, would have to be at least three cd's to include everything, to his band sounding excellent and tight. My only minor complaint is that I miss the drumming style of Liberty Devito. In my opinion he is a stronger drummer. Go buy this now. My favorite CD in a long time!Free Music Review: Great Gift

I bought this for a special person, one of my daughters medical doctors. If it hadn't been for him, I don't think she would be alive today. With that being said, I over heard him one day say that he like Billy Joel. What many many not realize that doctors when in surgery often play music while working on patients. It has been over an year since i gave this cd to him and he is still playing in the operating room, he loves it so much!Free Music Review: She' always a woman

I have been to many of Joels' concert and never heard this song live, one of the most beautiful, written from the heart, heartbreaking songs ever made. I heard and have read that Joel did not sing this song any more because the reasons he wrote the song for weren't there anymore. So here it is...just because of its inclusion in this cd, its worth to buy it. This is a perfect collection of Joels' amazing songwritting carreer.Free Music Review: Mr. Joel Live

I alrady owned Konzert from his earlier days. The 12 Gardens album shows his ability to put up a terrific show after so many years. Not many artists can say that.
The songs sound crisp enough, which is ok for me since I like live recordings for not being picture perfect. If I wanted that I'd listen to Pink Floyd more....
So very well recommended for music fans in general, and Joel fans in particular....
