I just purchased the 3 cd's + 1 DVD at Best Buy. The Best Buy version includes a 3rd cd from the live performaces of 5 songs from December 1977. The songs included in this CD are
1. Just the Way you are
2. Vienna
3. The Ballad of Billy the Kid
4. Get it right the first time
5. Summer, Highland Falls
The sound is execellent and the price is the same a Amazon. My 5 stars is not for Amazon but for the disc itself.

Free Music Review: Columbia did something 5 Stars
when they released this Legacy Edition: They made it available on vinyl!If you're a true music fan, tired of flat-sounding digital imitations, spend the money ($400 at least) and get yourself a turntable. It's the way all music should be heard; especially a great album like this.
Those of you reading this who expected a review of the material have obviously never listened to "The Stranger". No review is necessary, just buy the album. It speaks for itself!
Free Music Review: Long-Time Fan Loves the Extras

I've owned all off Billy Joel's albums from the day they were released going back to 1982 or so, and I had purchased all of his older albums by then. I'm a huge fan, but I never trafficked much in the "extras" that were available. This release adds two wonderful discs to my collection. Having been a fan so long, it was awesome to see 1970s Billy talking, playing, and singing. I love Mark Rivera but had missed seeing sax virtuoso Richie Cannata with the band. Even 30 years after its debut, The Stranger is still a classic. Throw in The Old Grey Whistle Test, a Carnegie Hall poster, a copy of Joel's lyric notebook, a previously un-released live show and a recent interview and what do you get?
Pure magic...I loved it.
Oh, and can't forget the booklet, either! It has plenty of pictures from The Stranger times and is an amazing addition.
...He was so good looking. Tee hee. You HAVE to get this!

have contacted amazon about this but have had no reply from them
