Free Music Review: Bireli the Genius

This is one album that you cherish like a treasure. Similar to a complex wine, it even seems to get better the more you listen to it. It is very subtile, yet it unveils even more flavor over time. I was amazed at by how it can be listened to casualy, but still be an album that you would listen to with headphones, and still ask yourself " how does he do it???" Bireli's unbelievable mastery of the guitar makes this recording an amazing performance, sustained by two other brilliant players: Chris Min Doky (bass) and Andre Cecarelli (drums).I have seen Bireli many times in concert, once he was sharing the scene with Mike Stern, who basically sat on his amp the whole time with his mouth open, watching Bireli deliver. What Bireli accomplishes I guess surprises and amazes, and like all great artists, his phrasing and virtuosity seems to all just make sens. Everything seems like a childish game, with the simplicity that he is only one capable of achieving.
Buy this album. Please do yourself a favor. I actually bought another one for myself the other day...just in case.
