Free Music Notes for Live at the GreekFree Music Review: This is heresy--call out the Zeppelen Inquisition Hit: 5 Stars
Okay, I never thought I would say this. I am a huge Zeppelin fan from the 1970s. I have listened to lots of live Zeppelin, most recently "How the West Was Won". (And that's a nice compilation.) BUT
THE CROWES DO ZEPPELIN SONGS LIVE BETTER THAN LED ZEPPELIN DID. The vocals are better, the extra guitarists add so much punch and texture, and even the drumming sounds great (and Bonham is the gold standard).
Now that I've confessed, I feel better. Maybe this should be anonymous, though...
Free Music Review: WOW! Hit: 5 Stars
Jimmy Page is back and better than ever, Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes makes for a great Robert Plant immitation, and the live atmosphere gives any listener a deep sense of excitement. All the Zeppelin classics are here such as "Whole Lotta Love" and "Heartbreaker" as well as other less known, but still excellent songs, like "Out on the Tiles" and "Custard Pie." Other great blues songs can be found on this CD and every other aspect on it is good so go buy this one.
Free Music Review: truly awesome Hit: 5 Stars
Given it is the Black Crowes and Page I expected good things, however I was blown away. If you like bluesy, sexy, powerful driven music - then this is for you. This combination makes In My Time of Dying, Custard Pie, Celebration Day and Out on the Tiles rock. They slide through Ten Years Gone, Your Time is Gonna Come and The Lemon Song in ways that will give you new appreciation for the music. Page hits a few sour notes in his solos, but beyond that this is certainly worthy of purchase.
Free Music Review: great Hit: 5 Stars
jimmy page joins forces with the black crows! who could think that this would go sour? this 2 cd set is so refreashing! rich robinson does a great job on the guitar work here he shines. and audley freed, they hold all the rhythms down while Jimmy page go's off! Chris robinson does a great job on vocals! what I like the most about this cd is these guys do the remake of OH WELL, fleetwood mac tune. SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME,yardbirds this is a must have for the collection. ENJOY!
Free Music Review: new meets old in more ways than one Hit: 5 Stars
the moment i picked it i thought how weird. and after hearing it it still felt weird. but the getting used to period did not take long. hearing songs like ten years gone, hey hey what can i do, done so perfectly and in my time of dying my personal favorite led zeppelin tune ever, live makes this album worth it from there. throw in some old blues and the combination of jimmy page and the black crowes and this album is ridiculous and a must have for every led zeppelin fan.
