Free Music Notes for Live at the GreekFree Music Review: Black Crowes are the only band that could pull zeppelin off Hit: 5 Stars
Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time. I had a ticket to see the crowes and Jimmy Page together, until the concert got canceled. The Cds had to tide me over. I listen to these cds all the time. I thought it was great that they didn't just include all the popular Led Zeppelin hits. Some of their lesser known songs are also included. There isn't a song on there that I don't like. A must buy for either Led Zeppelin of Black Crowes fans.
Free Music Review: THE BAND PLAYED ON Hit: 5 Stars
THIS IS JIMMYSFINEST PERFORMANCE TO DATE .HERE JIMMY SHARES THE BILL WITH THE BLACK CROWS AND TOGETHER THEY PUT THE OF THE CENTUREY PLAYING SUCH ZEP TUNES LIKE WHOLE LOTTA LOVE HAPPING TEN YEARS AGO AND AYARD BIRDS CLASSIC SHAPES OF THINGS AND MUCH MORE. THE ONLY ZEP TUNE THAT DOSE NOT APPEAR IS STAIR WAY TO HEAVEN GIVEN THE POSSAPLTY THAT IT WAS MORE SUITED FOR PLANT TO SING . BUT IT WOULD OF BEEN NICE TO HEAR CHIRS ROBINSONS OWN VERISON.
Free Music Review: Foot-stomping, head-shaking fun Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not a big Led Zeppelin fan, but there's very little not to like about this double-disc set if you like the Crowes. The beefy, crunchy sound is amped up and enhanced tremendously by Jimmy Page. The actual vocals are a little muted from the conversion from the live concert, but you can't mistake Robinson's voice. If you like the Crowes, you'll definitely like this set. A must have, I'd say. Highlights are the bluesy songs.
Free Music Review: Bring it on Home Hit: 5 Stars
The pairing was inevitable, and it's about time. The greatest rock&roll band left on the planet with one of rock guitar's innovators. The tracks are bang on, and while the Zeppelin tunes seem a little cautious ( I mean they are playing his songs, for chrisakes!), the blues numbers and lesser known covers kick! Shapes of Things is cool, and a tip of the hat for Oh Well, by oft-overlooked Peter Green. Kudos! Great discs.
Free Music Review: If you love The Zep and you love The Crowes... Hit: 5 Stars
Flat out joy. I've been a Led Zeppelin fan since the earliest days. Although The Crowes didn't 'get creative' and play around with the arrangements, the very fact that they were so true to all the arrangements, lending instrumental strength and power behind music that was already great and has stood the test of time. I almost jumped out of my skin listening to both of these disks. Yay! Thanks Black Crowes.
