Free Music Notes for The Lost Crowes (The Black Crowes: The Band Sessions)Free Music Review: Man Oh Man... Hit: 5 Stars
Even though many of these songs are just different mixes or out-takes... The Flow... Sound... & Overall Feel of these recordings creates a whole new "aural-experience" from the previous recordings IMHO.
It's like hearing these songs for the very first time in many cases. It seems a lot more experimental, loose & free (like in... "Just let your freak flag fly!)
Absolutely love it!!!
Just get a nice buzz... lay... back & enjoy!
Free Music Review: Amorica should have been released in this form!! Hit: 5 Stars
I agree with the 2nd reviewer. "Tall" is even better than what Amorica turned out to be. Amorica is great too, but the versions on this disc are brilliant, especially the earthier more laid back version of Wiser Time.
"Band" is awesome too. There are a couple of things on here that were already released on the Sho' Nuff boxed set, but all in all, this is a completely worthwhile set if you're really into this band.
Free Music Review: The Lost Crowes Hit: 5 Stars
These albums have been collected by hard core Black Crowes fans for a while now and finally this excellent collection is now available. The general public can find out what some have already known. These are some of the best tracks they ever made. Its about time they were made available. If you like Southern Harmony and Amorica, then this is a must have collection .
Free Music Review: A must-have for any fan Hit: 5 Stars
This set of recordings not only sounds great, but it's an excellent look at the earlier versions of songs from Amorica. Fans may recognize some of the previously unreleased songs on disc 1, since a few have been staples of the live show. It's great to hear recorded versions.
All in all, new Crowes is good Crowes...even if the songs are 10 years old...
Free Music Review: Lost & Found Crowes Hit: 5 Stars
For any loyal Crowe's fan looking for alternate / original works of their art, here it is. Production wise you can tell why this material never made it on the original release's, but there is some quality cuts on these disc's, kinda like looking for gold. Repeat listening of this material will convince you why they did release it after the fact.
