Free Music Notes for Dio Years

Free Music Review: Nice collection ... even nicer are the 3 new tunes!
Hit: 5 Stars

Finsally we are able to get a Dio era Black Sabbath collection. Ronnie James Dio is an unparalled singer in this genre.....

The 3 new tunes alone are worth the price of admission. They clearly show that this incarnation of Black Sabbath, currently on their 3rd reunion of sorts (early 80's, early 90's, and now here in the new millenuim) is a force to be reckoned with....

Can't wait for the new full length album "The Devil You Know" (being billed as Heaven & Hell for the name of the band). Apparently Tony Iommi & Geezer Butler wanted to keep the Ozzy Osbourne fronted incarnation of Black Sabbath on the sidelines (unlike when Dio first came to the band -to "replace" Ozzy).

Free Music Review: TRUE ROCK AND ROLL
Hit: 5 Stars

With todays slop that they try to pass off as ROCK AND ROLL, this CD is a breath of fresh air. Who cares if it is only one CD insead of a two CD set? It rocks from beginning to end with alot of my favorites. Plus you get all of these tracks for $9.99. It's nice to see a new CD for a reasonable price with all of the overpriced CD's out there today. Ronnie James Dio's voice just gets better with time, I'm refering to the 3 new tracks on this album. The rest of the band sounds awesome as well. Hopefully we will get a new studio album in the works with Dio and Black Sabbath. I'm glad there are legends like this keeping Rock alive!

Free Music Review: The Dio Years Indeed!
Hit: 5 Stars

Let me start by saying this isn't likely to convert any Ozzy die hards over to the Dio camp.
To me the Ozzy and Dio years were entirely differant eras for Sabbath, and yes the Dio years don't sound like Sabbath.
This is the Sabbath band playing Dios songs.
If you like that, and I love BOTH versions of Sabbath for what they bring.
Well, you'll like this.
The song selection is mostly very good.
If you know the original albums, most of what you are looking for will be found here.
If you are looking for a one shot disc to sum up the Dio years, well you've got it here!
Nice packaging too...

Free Music Review: Sin Again!
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all I personally think Black Sabbath with Dio is the best band of all time!...so here we go..\m/
Here is is a collection of Sabbath's greatest stuff with RJD!!
Everthing you thought would be on there and more (Even "Lonely is the Word" made it!!! Yes!!!)
Sounds like they remastered the tracks...and they sound great:)
The New tracks are excellent...Sounding like some thing from the "Dehumanizer" era!!
"Shadow of the Wind" is my favorite of the new tracks.....Mid Tempo.....Classic Doom.....Iommi style!!
Great Stuff!!
If your ready for a Sabbath upgrade....It is well worth it-+

Free Music Review: Awesome preview of what might be!!
Hit: 5 Stars

OK, so we all know that this version of the band has had it's ego differences and all... But at least we now have the chance (I said chance) of getting something new and positive out of this lineup. I don't know about you, but I have grown tired of this Ozzy era reunion crap that has put out NOTHING but the same old tired concert year after year at practicly every Ozzfest since 1999. The new tracks on this CD are very refreshing and it is great to hear some of the older material remastered. Hopefully they will give ALL the Dio era albums the same treatment as they did with the Black Box...
