Fires at Midnight, is everything you expect a Blackmore's Night CD to be. The same Renaissance flair, with haunting melodies. As well as, Candice Night's haunting voice and Richie Blackmore great guitar. These two write and arrange great songs together. The songs stay with you long after the music stops. I find myself humming these songs. The songs are fresh and new, just as the other two CD's. I also very much enjoy the instrumentals, that are part of all three CD's. All I can say is, that if you enjoyed Shadow of the Moon and Under a Violet Moon, then Fires at Midnight is also a must. The stars are out magic is here....... For the sake of the Music Review: Blackmore continues his legend!Hit: 5 Stars I have heard all three of the Blackmores Night Albums and have enjoyed them all thoroughly. Fires At Midnight is by far the best one to date! Ritchie Blackmore has always wanted to do this type of music and finally he has. With Ritchie composing the music and Candice doing vocals Blackmores Night can, and will blow your socks off. Most of the songs on this album start out melow and then become very energetic, some even have a hint of Rainbow or Deep Purple tone to them.
If you like music that will cheer you up, or make you feel good about life no matter what kind of mood you are in this is it.
Blackmores Night is one of the, if not THE best groups ever.

SIMPLY PUT, IT'S FEEL-GOOD MUSIC THAT HAS SOMETHING TO OFFER EVERY TASTE. NO TWO SONGS ARE ALIKE, EACH OFFERING THE LISTENER A UNIQUE AND PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE CD NICELY BLENDS RENAISSANCE THEMES AND OLD WORLD FLAVOR WITH TODAYS ROCK AND POP STYLES IN A WAY THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO EXPLAIN OR CATEGORIZE. THERE ARE LOVE SONGS AND BALLADS ALONG WITH TOE-TAPPING "DANCE BY THE FIRE LIGHT" UPBEAT TUNES. Having loved the first two albums from Blackmore's Night I was eager to hear their lastest offering. It follows well within the vein of music their previous albums opened up. This alubm sounds very much like Under A Violet Moon, but with more electric instruments. Candice Night's continuing growth as a vocalist is incredible, quite simply the woman can sing! Wether it's in a table pounding song like Home Again, or the more emotional lyrics in the Hanging Tree or Waiting Just For You, Ms. Night's voice sparkles. This album is a great third album and I again look forward to the next offering from Blackmore's Night.Free Music Review: Blackmore's RIGHT!

I've loved classical music since I was a kid, and I've always been a fan of good ol' rock n roll. But my biggest delight has been from listening to Annie Haslam and Renaissance since they first were played in the US in the early 1970's. I've listened to many other groups of the same genre, some of which are fine ... many not. But Blackmore's Night has been a true delight for me. I'd only recently came across them thru Pandora and have since picked up a number of their albums. You will NOT be disappointed with Fires at Midnight. The instrumentation and vocals are lush and gorgeous, and I can't get enough of it!
