Free Music Notes for Audio Day DreamFree Music Review: Better Than My High Expectations Hit: 5 Stars
I bacame a fan of Blake Lewis while watching him climb to the top competing on American Idol. I not only liked his obvious talent, but also his personality and style. Because of this, when Audio Day Dream came out I immediately ordered it from Amazon. During the American Idol competition Blake relied a lot on beat boxing, which I find interesting but I don't want to hear a lot of it so it was with some apprehension that I opened this CD upon arrival. I was very pleased with what I heard. His talent has grown even more since Idol and I think this CD will give listening pleasure to a wide age range. This CD, like the artist who recorded it, is a big winner.
Free Music Review: I was Impressed with this. Hit: 5 Stars
I heard this playing out load at Virgin mega store. It really caught my attention. I did read about him loosing American Idol. I'm really into maroon 5 amd justin and techno/groove funk music and if you like that you will like this. Every song is good wich is rare on albums that are currently out. I wish him alot of success. I've played the entire album about 4 times and it gets better and better. I really don't understand why people gave this 2 stars or less. I 've heard the Tatoo song by jordan played on z100, I did not care for that song at all. Blake has at least 6tracks on this cd that deserves radio play.
Free Music Review: This is an entertaining disc of music Hit: 5 Stars
Blake Lewis is an unique performer. He beat boxes better than anyone I have ever heard on the tracks "Whatcha Got To Lose", "End Of The World" and "Bshorty Grabs the Mic". "Break Anotha" is a groovy track. "Gots To Get Her" is an interesting track. I like the "Putting on the Ritz" touch on this track. It sounds fun. Blake can also sing. I love the tracks "Without You". and "How Many Words" These tracks sound very pretty. "Heres My Hello" is a good dance track that stands out here.
"1000 Miles" is a touching song that shows off Blake's vocals too. This is a very entertaining disc overall.
Free Music Review: Fantastic debut Hit: 5 Stars
Wow. Usually it takes me a while to get into a new CD but this one hit me right away. His new single is one of the best on there. It'll be a hit. Not crazy about the slow song but then again I never prefer those anyway. Love how he incorporates the beat boxing into almost every song! And I can't say enough good things about the B-Shorty song...except I wish it was a bit longer. Great song to cheer you up while you're stuck in traffic!
Reminds me of Justin Timberlake with some beat boxing thrown in. In my opinion, that's a good thing!
Great job, Blake!!!
Free Music Review: Getting constant play time in my home Hit: 5 Stars
Blake Lewis was my favorite contestant of his season because I loved how unique and innovative he was. When I first got his CD I listened to it on repeat three times in a row. I can't get enough of it. The songs are catchy, fun, and a great mix of beatboxing, electonica, pop, and eighties influence. The fast songs will make you want to dance and the ballads are beautiful. The album serves as a reminder that he's not just a brilliant beatboxer but also a fantastic singer.
It's in constant play on my MP3 player and my stereo these days. Highly recommended.
