Free Music Review: A Lover of DCI and Blast the
Hit: 5 Stars

I loved the CD, but the DVD was even better. This group appeals to everybody. It does not matter if you have been in band or even if you have never played a musical insturment in your life, I believe that you would get into Blast!. I have only seen Star of Indian on old video from my former band director, and they were good and Blast! brings them back to life. I highly recomend the CD to listen to when you are in the car and the DVD for your home to watch and listen to. I can not wait to see it live. I only wish the would have put the drum battle on the CD, it was the best part of the show, but Everybody Loves the Blues was equally great. If you are thinking about buying the CD or DVD or both stop thinging about it and buy it

Free Music Review: musicianship at its finest
Hit: 5 Stars

I love drum and bugle corps so naturally I'm a little biased when it comes to Blast but I can't see how somebody would give it less than 5 stars. I saw the performance on PBS (public TV) and I bought the CD very soon after that.

It's a great CD to put in and listen to from start to finish. There is only one track that I don't like but I'm not going to specify it because I want to let everybody form their own opinion so you don't need a bad impression of it from me. The other thing is that the Battery Battle is on the video but isn't on the CD. I was disappointed in that.

Overall, this is an awesome recording and is well worth buying.

Free Music Review: A musiclal treat worth listening to!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the most refreshing musical compilations in a long time. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get the full flavor of "Blast!" unless you've seen the actual performance. With that being said, I was thouroughly impressed with musical vituosity of this relatively young cast. Anyone not emotionally moved by the gut-felt trumpet lines in "Loss" certainly can't be a true lover of music. As a one time trumpet player, the warmth and depth of this performance made me absolutely envyous! Take this and mix it with the heart-pounding percussion, and the interspersed chorale-style vocals, and you have a very entertaining auditory treat.

Free Music Review: This CD is awesome
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, this CD is definatley awesome.. I don't have it yet, but I actually saw the performance of Blast! last winter at the Apollo Theatre. It was the most amazing performance I have ever seen. Blast! will give you a whole new perspective and appreciation for instrumental music and visual music. I strongly recomend this CD AND the Video. Blast! is a wonderful experience that anyone, whether you play a musical instrument or not, can enjoy. I play flute in my H.S. Marching Band, and I know just how difficult Blast! is, but the CD and Video can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. Get it!

Free Music Review: A MUST FOR ANY MUSIC FAN!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Blast! is a rare musical experience. Not a lot of people are familiar with the show-it shouldn't be overlooked! It's a new theatrical concept from London. It's drum corps, meets Broadway, meets Stomp. Most of the music is very up-tempo, with a few haunting melodies staggered upon them. These musicians are very talented, they sing, and play instruments, and they deserve alot of credit. If you enjoy modern classical music, this CD should not be missed! The show is currently touring the United States, check out their home page (www.blasttheshow.com) for more details!
