Blast! is a rare musical experience. Not a lot of people are familiar with the show-it shouldn't be overlooked! It's a new theatrical concept from London. It's drum corps, meets Broadway, meets Stomp. Most of the music is very up-tempo, with a few haunting melodies staggered upon them. These musicians are very talented, they sing, and play instruments, and they deserve alot of credit.If you enjoy modern classical music, this CD should not be missed! To have the whole experience you really need to see the DVD or VHS copy of Blast. The show is absolutely as visual as it is musical! In fact, that's exactly the reason it's been as successful as it is. Any other show can just play music onstage. But how many do it from the audience, while hanging in the air, or by literally running around each other while managing not to collide with the flags, sabers, or rifles that are being spun and tossed all over the stage? It's definitely taking drum corps to a whole new -- and more audience-friendly -- level. ....Free Music Review: Doesn't do it justice

Sorry, but the CD doesn't come close to the real thing, baby! It's OK, but it's only 10% of the whole. For one thing, it cuts out the entire snare-line's riff. Blasphemy! Buy the video instead! Buy two. You'll wear one out in the first week. If you're just getting a taste of this stuff for the first time, you have only scratched the surface, my friend. To the Lover of drum corps music comes BLAST! Being a drum corps past member and fan, listening to this music takes me back. With songs like Bolero, and My favorite Malaguena, the music makes me sit for the duration of the disc, living the music. These are the greatest songs of drum corps, Played by the "Drum Corps Allstars" as I like to call them. It is every bit worth the price. You don't really have to understand or appreciate marching band to hughely appreciate the dynamics and showmanship of BLAST! It was revolutionary to bring this type of show to the stage in London, New York and in many touring shows at many venues. To have this music available on CD to listen at any time is truly a rousing joy.
