Free Music Notes for Blast: An Explosive Musical CelebrationFree Music Review: Not just for drum corps fans! Hit: 5 Stars
I just want to get it out there that I'm a classical harpist (which is pretty much the opposite end of the musical spectrum from "Blast"), and I love this CD. True, not much can be done with color and nuance with such an ensemble, but they still give enjoyable and exhilarating performances. Just take it for what it is!
Free Music Review: The Blast Blast ... Hit: 5 Stars
I purchased this thinking I had bought the dvd. A little disappointed until I played it. AMAZING ... interestingly it plays exactly long enough for my commute to work. After I listened for a few days I went back and bought the dvd. Icing on the cake. To see it as well as hear it adds another dimension to the enjoyment.
Free Music Review: The best show you've ever seen and heard Hit: 5 Stars
I love the soundtrack for this, but you need to see the shoew to fully understand it. Finally, a show for all band kids! Although the soundtrack's great, it leaves out the more visual-oriented pieces like "Lemon Techno" and "Color Wheel". Go see the show, buy the tape, and buy the soundtrack!
Free Music Review: DCI on stage Hit: 5 Stars
Blast is quite possibly the first marching band to ever put on a show on stage. That's right......a marching band on stage. If you like Drum Corp International, you'll love Blast. I saw the show on PBS and was totally blown away. Now that I have the CD, I can't wait for the video to come out.
Free Music Review: Blast the Show Hit: 5 Stars
Like the CD? Think the video is pretty cool? Go see the show. I've driven to Bloomington, IN and Detroit, MI for performances. I flew to London, just to see them. The CD and the video are nice, but the live performance has so much more. The energy never stops. Go see it. You'll enjoy it.
