Free Music Review: Blink-182 will never get old...
Hit: 5 Stars

Whether blink-182 grew up or whether they stayed 14 for the rest of their lives, i would still love them. because it seems, no matter what theyre singing about, i still relate to the lyrics... thats talent!

1. Dumpweed --- 9/10 i barely ever listen to this song... even though it's great

2. Don't leave me --- 8/10 i dont like this song as much as the others... i duno why... but still awesome!

3. Aliens exist --- 9/10 this song is hilarious and great... and aliens do exist...

4. Going away to college --- 9/10 this song reminds me of when i was 'going away to high school' and i was leaving all my old friends behind.. its about sadly finishing a chapter in your life but also starting an exciting new one... i love it

5. What's my age again? --- 10/10 usually on cd's i end up hating the radio hits and loving everything else.. but it seems to me on this one i adore all the radio hits! this song is hilarious... i can totally relate

6. Dysentery Gary --- 10/10 i love this song!!! the lyrics crack me up but make so much sense at the same time!

7. Adam's song --- 10/10 my 2nd favourite song on the album, slower and more meaningful than the other ones, soo great!

8. All the small things --- 11/10 this has been one of my favourite songs ever since the first time i heard it the year it came out... how many years has it been since then? 7? and i still LOVE it!!!

9. The Party Song --- 9/10 very very good... the title kind of grasps the meaning

10. Mutt --- 10/10 I LOVE this song!!!!!!!!

11. Wendy Clear --- 9/10 At first i didnt like this song as much but ive grown to love it!

12. Anthem --- 8.5/10 This songs wicked, but not one of my absolute faves... anthem pt. 2 is so much better than this one

you wont be disappointed with this cd! trust me! buy it!

Hit: 5 Stars

This is a really great album. The cursing isn't too bad either, unlike Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. If you are a real hardcore alternative/punk fan, however, do not buy it. Blink is still punk, but on the lighter side of it. Anyway, it is annoying when people just go on about how they liked the album, so here's my track by track review.

1. "Dumpweed" - A great track to start the album off with. Catchy tune, lyrics, and it is possibly the best track on the album.
2. "Don't Leave Me" - A short, quick song, good follow-up to "Dumpweed". Keeps the sound flowing, however it is a bit repetitive.
3. "Aliens Exist" - A great song about what you think it is about: a guy who believes in aliens. Sort of funny, in a way, but the live version on "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show" is better.
4. "Going Away to College" - This song slows down the pace a bit, and is about a guy who's afraid of what could happen to his relationship when his girlfriend leaves for college. One of the less-punkish tracks.
5. "What's My Age Again?" - You've all heard it, have your own opinion.
6. "Dysentery Gary" - Very punky, strange though. It is kind of hard to get the meaning of it. One of the best tracks.
7. "Adam's Song" - Depressing, with original lyrics and great drum solo. Very good.
8. "All the Small Things" - You've heard it, so think what you like.
9. "The Party Song" - It grows on you. Very, very fast lyrics, and once you finally start to understand them it gets to be a good song.
10. "Mutt" - Good song. Slightly boring, but it has a good beat.
11. "Wendy Clear" - A really cool song. Excellent giutar, base, drums, etc.
12. "Anthem" - A great song to close the album with. It is hard to explain why, but once you lsten to it you'll understand. Anthem Part 2 is better though!

Overall grade: A (Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is better by a bit . . .)

Free Music Review: Let's be serious
Hit: 5 Stars

I am a really big fan of British indie/rock music these days but before I got into what I now know as good music there was one album that played on my stereo everyday.
The one that I am talking about is album number 4 from those little scamps Blink 182. This was the album that broke the boys into the mainstream and I can really understand why. The first 3 albums were good but had an un-professional/made in my mates bedroom type feel.
Each track on the album is as good as the next although "All the small things" may make you feel like it's been played one too many times. "What's my age again" was the other big single from this album and has the now famous video of the boys running around town naked.
The America only single "Adam's song" is one of the more serious moments on this album and is slow at the start but rushes into a thundering chorus which is a good thing. The reason that it is good is because as you all know the critics have never taken Blink seriously and this is a step closer to maturity.
This is a punk record and although some would argue against that, the fact is still there. If You have ever listened to "Dumpweed", "The party song" or "Anthem" you will know what I am talking about as all these songs have the amp turned up fully and rock harder than Metallica and Pantera put together(that may be going a bit far).
The only down side is that an album of this quality should last a lot longer than 35 minutes and it can be punishing listening to "you know what" after hearing it on mtv all day.
So if your looking for something that will make you feel good and can realise that they are a punk band as well as the likes of The Clash and The Sex Pistols this is the perfect album.
If go and buy Radiohead-Kid A and you'll know why it's good to listen to an upbeat record.

Free Music Review: THEY DID NOT SELL THEMSELVES OUT! MTV DID!
Hit: 5 Stars

For one thing, if you bought this CD with the Parental Advisory sticker on it, SHAME ON YOU, you trendy poser trying to fit in with all the pop music junkies... if you were a true blink fan, you'd have bought it when it came out back in June (before they were on every radio and TV station and before it was deemed Parental Advisory) Another thing, all you people thinking that Blink sold out.. well they kinda did, but they didn't do it themselves... their music really isn't that much different from that of "Cheshire Cat" most people only heard this and Dude Ranch and deemed b-182 sellouts for slowing it down, but it sounds similar to blink on Cheshire Cat... Pop stations and (ugh) MTV/trl sold blink 182 out... which is kind of good for them, because they get well-deserved money and they are finally being recognized and all... but playing them in the same lineup as Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin? PLEEEEEASE! Also, I hate how everyone thinks that they're a new band... they are NOT a new band, this is their 4th CD (including Buddha)I hate how people only like the radio songs on this CD (and all other CD's in general) What's My Age Again? and All the Small Things is all most people know that are by blink 182... most people have never even heard "Dammit" ! For crying out loud! That was like the biggest song on alternative radio stations in 97/98/early '99. I hate the bandwagon fans of blink 182... though I like the loyal true fans. Last year I had something blink 182, everyone was asking who they were... now I see tons of Blink 182 apparel being worn on trendy poser kids in my school... Anywho, enough rambling.. this CD is good, but get Cheshire Cat first... then Dude Ranch, then Enema... then get "Buddha" so you can see how far they have come since that early demo.

Free Music Review: Blink182 Rocks with EOTS
Hit: 5 Stars

Since childhood I have dreamed of owning this CD. I didn't quite know it then, but I realize it now. What I mean is, I've always loved Blink182, but on June 1, 1999 they released a work of art. Enema of the State (EOTS) released tricks that I had heard when I was little and had loved. I never knew until this summer, when I got this CD, that those songs were on it, including one of my favorite songs ever: All the Small things. As soon as I listened to this CD I was astounded that I had actually found the CD with it.
Okay, here's a rundown of Blink182. They are a punk rock band that started in 1993. Their fame has grown from then. Hardly anyone I know hasn't at least heard of them. They released a couple of albums that weren't so great, but then they struck musical talent gold. They've made great songs since then, like: Miss You, All the Small Things, Rock Show, and Felling This. These are just some of their greatest hits, if you listen to the CDs that the songs are on then you realize that the rest of the CD is awesome, too. Even if they weren't what you were looking for, the music gets addicting. Their music is kind of like Green Day or Good Charlotte, so if you like them then you'll probably like Blink182 also.
Enema of the State was one of their first "Great CD's"; it has already sold over 4,000,000 copies. I think this kind of music will appeal mostly to teens. And, an alert for drummers, if you listen, you'll get hooked on Travis Barker (the drummer), he's got skills. I think any Blink182 fan that's in his right mind will love this CD. A lot of people have loved this CD and given it a 4.5 out of 5, but in my opinion, I'd give this a 5 out of 5, or 100 out of 100 (just to show that It's not a 4.9 rounded up). You can pick it up on amazon.com for $12.99.
