Free Music Notes for The Mark Tom and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back)Free Music Review: Crappy punk rock rocks! Hit: 5 Stars
I went to the blink-182 concert this summer at the Gorge in George, WA. It was so rad, when I heard that blink was putting out a live alblum...oooh man. I new it would own. So i went and bought it the day it came out, and I wasn't dissapointed. A lot of bands sound really bad in concert, but in a few cases, blink actually sounds better live. "Going Away To College", "Aliens Exist", "Voyeur", "Carousel", "What's My Age Again?" and "Pathetic" almost sound better live than they did in there original alblum versions. "The Mark, Tom and Travis Show" is non-stop entertainment from begining to end. You get a perfect blend of music and potty humor in just over an hour and ten minutes. The only dissapointment would be the ommision of "Josie" and "M+Ms", two of blink's finest efforts. However, the absence of these songs is made up for by an outstanding live version of "Dammit" and the great new studio track "Man Overboard", plus seven minutes of Mark & Tom talkin smack to each other. This is one cd that'll stay in my system for months to come. Get it now before it's too late.
Free Music Review: Good For Some But... Hit: 5 Stars
Let's make this clear. This is not a punk CD. If you like Fenix TX or something like that, then you will hate not appreciate it. However, if you have never listened to punk-rock before, this band is an OK start. However, these guys are not playing like they used to. When they refer to themselves as crappy, they are right because a song like "All The Small Things" can make a great punk band with great CDs (Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat) turn to crap. If you're into pop-punk bands like SR-71 and junk like that, you'll love this. But if you're a old-school Blink 182 fan, go back to NOFX or something because you're only getting a few old songs. The guys are very funny and inappropriate (main reson for "Parental Advisory Label") and they sound great, which makes them get 5 stars from me but the screaming girls escalate their punk-turned-pop style. "Man Overboard" is great and their old stuff is cool too, but they are still too much pop for me. Buy it if you want but there's no guarenteed satisfactory for a REAL punk fan. If you liked "Enema Of The State" a lot, go ahead. Pick it up.
Free Music Review: I had a hankering for fried eggs and steak... Hit: 5 Stars
During an uneventful repast one recent morn, I was thunderstruck by the audible racket emanating from my downstairs neighbors apartment. By golly, you can rest assured I grabbed my trusty broom and starting whapping the heck out of my linoleum floor in an attempt to lower the caterwauling. Tired and a bit confused at the lack of progress my actions were making, I decided to sit a spell and enjoy my fried eggs and steak amongst the clattering. Thank heavens for a second take on things. That cacophony of noise turned into a symphony of love. Blink-182's "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show" reaffirmed my solid belief in the virtue and sanctity of youth. Ahh, to be young, carefree, and bouncing around the paper-thin walls of an urban zoo, happy with your noises. Rest assured I ran straight to my local superplex and picked up a copy of "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show". I haven't been disappointed yet (aside from that odd occurence when I accidentally dropped the liner notes in the toilet). Tracks #2 and #14 will get your mojo rising, or I guarantee you a free fried egg sandwich, courtesy of yours truly.
Free Music Review: Great, but missing something Hit: 5 Stars
as expected, this CD would have a lot of stuff from Enema (well, it was there most successful cd), and they have some of the best tracks from Dude Ranch, but they didn't play Josie or at least they didn't put it on the CD, they played 1 or 2 tracks from Chesire Cat and played nothing from Buddah (THOUGH MOST OF THAT STUFF WAS RELEASED BEFORE ON OTHER BLINK CDs NAMELY CHESIRE CAT, THE REST WASN'T THE BEST) and they didn't play M+Ms, though that isn't so bad, cause that single was not big. They have a sence of humor, and follow the rules that any Live cd should follow, speak at the end, keep speaking at the beggining to a minamal (though there is only one track that has it at the begging, All The Small Things). And there is 29 extra tracks of jokes and stuff. The Satan stuff they do after some of the songs are funny (Poetry, flowers, and pictures of Unicorns). This isn't like Enema, this does deserve the Explicit lyrics label, they talk about bad stuff and use a fair share of bad words. But hey, they ain't toning it down cause they made it big. I'm glad they played some of their early stuff, cause you should get it.

more then 50% of the kids in my junior high have a blink cd and count blink as one of their fav bands ,duh, blink is my fav band and probaly the best band out there today and this cd proves it.listen to the crowd scream when whats my age again, all small, adams song, or dammit come on and you'll see.though this disc doesn't have some of the other good blink songs-m&ms,josie,apple shampoo,or the party song it is still loaded with their best songs and some hidden tracks as well(there not really hidden, just after man overboard) speaking of man overboard this is a cool song as well, many fans wish they had put more new tracks on this, but this disc was put out by blink to keep the blink fans happy who have been waiting patiently for new stuff while working on their new album(due in spring or summer 2001 -thats to long away)but anyway this live cd is enjoyable to the most and you should by it because it is some of the best of blink roled into one and that is very good so buy it and enjoy!!!!p.s. :to mark, travis, and tom- put out that new album sooner then spring or summer cause we can't wait that long!!!!!!
