Free Music Review: Good, But needs more stuff from Chesire Cat! Hit: 5 Stars
This album is a good piece of work, espically for people anxious to get new stuff from blink. I had a chance to go to the show and this album was good to actully hear the music cause i was too busy being tosed around in the mosh pit and piece nailed in the head with crowd surfers. The only problem i had with this album was that they had only 2 songs from Chesire Cat, which i think is their best album. However, they had a good amount of songs from Dude Ranch. The majority of the songs from Enema sounded good because i could always skip over All the Small things. The jokes and stuff were funny as hell espically all the jokes at the end, but they had too many jokes involving Satan which would have been funny the first couple times but it just got boring. Another good thing about this album is that they inculded "Man OverBoard" which is a really good new song that is sure to be a Blink Classic some day. So if your looking for a good time with some funny as hell songs and good art work on the cover but this album.
Free Music Review: juvenile humor...makes me feel like a juvenile - hooray! Hit: 5 Stars
Blink 182's live album kicked some serious whoo-hoo! I loved it!
See, I went to the Mark Tom and Travis show concert just after Enema of the State was released, and this album brings back some good memories. The Jr. High humour is unrelenting and hillarious! I did, however, feel very awkward at the concert for all of the teens with their parents with them... this isn't the kind of thing that you take your parents to (the parental advisory sticker is well deserved), but rather the kind of thing that you share with all of your friends. This album is tops. It took me ages to find it at a good price (some people wanted $50 for it!!!!) cuz it isn't that well-known. But trust me, if you like Blink's older stuff (Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat) like the Depends song and Ben Wa Balls etc, then this is the album is right up your alley! And if you're not familiar with those albums, well, get them too. They're classic and completely light-hearted. Anyhow, enjoy this album!
Free Music Review: Blink 182's Coolest CD Yet! Hit: 5 Stars
The reason this cd is so rad is 1. The song selection was great. They got just about every hit song from their time as a band. (the only song missing is Josie, which I am very upset about) 2. Blink rocks live, and that's the bottom line. Without that, it wouldn't matter which songs were picked. They put out a flawless performance, with an exceptional flawless guitar performance by Tom in "What's My Age Again?" (an extremely difficult song to play for those of you who don't know.) There you have it, an unbelievable cd that will have you singing along and lauging all the way through. Stand-out tracks are Alien's Exist, Family Reunion (the main reason that the cd got it's parental advisory,) Going Away To College, What's My Age Again, Dick Lips, Voyeur, Carousel, Dammit, and Man Overboard. Remember, this is a limited edition cd, so stop thinking about it and get it now. Whether a new or long-time Blink fan, you will love this cd, GUARANTEED!
Free Music Review: EXPLICIT, but Exciting Hit: 5 Stars
Blink 182 are knows for thier crude jokes and total chaotic behavior...which is why they are so cool! This live album, although not sounding quite live in everything is a great step, and a smart one for the punk pop threesome. Thier songs of love lost, humor-bound desperation, and just how sometimes life just plain SUCKS is perfect for anyone not perfect out there.Everone compares them to Greenday, which is completely absurd, thier style and approach to thier songs are totally different, as is the attitude. They sound excellent live, and play at thier own, FASTER pace, which adds new dimension to the music, and gets the songs stuck in your head quite rapidly. This album is definitely not for younger children, as every joke, including the twenty some tracks at the end are certainly not meant for virgin ears. But if you are not offended to easily, this album is a for sure a beauty to have in your collection. Three thumbs up, Mark, Tom, & Travis!!
