Free Music Notes for Parallel Lines

Free Music Review: KIDS, THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS...WHICH IS GREAT!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the shining crown in Blondie's very impressive collection of recordings. From start to finish, this album is a thrill ride and it rightfully cemented Blondie as the Kings and Queen of the New Wave. There are so many hits it's practically a greatest hits collection in of itself - Sunday Girl, Heart of Glass, Picture This, Hanging On the Telephone and of course One Way Or Another. The songs that weren't singles on the album could have been! This album taught the world was NYC downtown cool was all about. Parallel Lines sounds as fresh today as it did in 1978.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Free Music Review: Classic new wave power pop-punk
Hit: 5 Stars

With its irresistible mixture of candy-coated 60s pop sensibilities, new wave cynicism, and the raw aggression of punk, Parallel Lines is one of the great albums of the late 70s. Its 12 songs are as fun and ferocious as anything the Ramones ever recorded, with a kind of snarl and bite that approaches Elvis Costello's. Songs like "Just Go Away" and "Picture This" fuse bouncing, relentless melodies with snidely poetic lyrics, while "Pretty Baby" is nothing short of gorgeous, candy coated power pop. "One Way Or Another" has a wonderfully relentless, urgent drive, and "Sunday Girl" features a hypnotic wisp of melody. There are a few more slightly experimental tunes, such as the icy, ethereal "Fade Away And Radiate," or the eternally danceable disco-punk-glam of "Heart Of Glass." All in all, this is a fantastic album, easily one of the best of the whole punk movement.

Free Music Review: A great, great song.
Hit: 5 Stars

That's all I can say.
If you like rock, you will loooovvvve this song.

Free Music Review: One of the best albums of the Seventies
Hit: 5 Stars

Frankly, it's not my favorite Blondie album. That honor belongs to Plastic Letters, followed by Eat to the Beat.

Still, most objective critics consider this to be THE definitive classic Blondie album, and it's hard to argue.

With classic songs like Heart of Glass and One Way or Another, THIS is the album that put Blondie on the charts.

For those who might have been confused about all the various "versions" of Heart of Glass that seem to be floating around, the version on this album IS the best one, with the best ending. The edit on the Best of Blondie album is not as good as this one.

The minor album tracks are great also.

Free Music Review: LATE 70S GOLD
Hit: 4 Stars

I remember dancing to this music at parties in my school. This is great music with great riffs and hooks, and a dose of pure fun. In 1978 or so Blondie could do no wrong; even venturing successfully into disco.
