Free Music Review: One of the best albums of the Seventies

Frankly, it's not my favorite Blondie album. That honor belongs to Plastic Letters, followed by Eat to the Beat.
Still, most objective critics consider this to be THE definitive classic Blondie album, and it's hard to argue.
With classic songs like Heart of Glass and One Way or Another, THIS is the album that put Blondie on the charts.
For those who might have been confused about all the various "versions" of Heart of Glass that seem to be floating around, the version on this album IS the best one, with the best ending. The edit on the Best of Blondie album is not as good as this one.
The minor album tracks are great also.

There are not enough superlatives that I can say about the sheer greatness and magnitude of this classic release by Blondie.
This is Blondie at the top of their game and creative powers. In a lot of respects, this album is similar to The Clash's London Calling in that Blondie was not afraid to touch any musical style, put it through their own unique filter and then unleash the results.
Every song is amazing and Debbie Harry's voice was never more luscious or sexy.
Not to say they didn't make some incredible music after this release (they did in spades), but this is definitely the definitive Blondie album.

Ako vam treba punk bunt tu je One Way Or Another i Will Anything Happen?. Ako vam treba pop camp tu su Sunday Girl i Heart Of Glass. Ako vam treba ljubav tu je Picture This i Pretty Baby. Ako vam je potreban dodir hladnog futurizma Blondie vam nude Fade Away And Radiate.
Apsolutno savrseno. Nezamenljivo i nezaboravno ostvarenje.
Zanimljivo je to da se posle albuma Parallel Lines nista nije dogodilo sa takvom energijom sve do 2003 kada su bend Yeah Yeah Yeahs izdali Fever To Tell. Da li ce postati veliki kao Blondie? Videcemo!

Insanely creative at a particularly insanely creative period in rock music history, Blondie's "Parallel Lines" delivered on all the promise that you heard on their first two albums.
If you're looking at this thinking that every song is going to sound like "Heart Of Glass", then go somewhere else. This is musical diversity at its best.
It has great melodies, great beats, great humor, and great emotion.
Are there any female singers today that have the combined looks, intelligence, creativity, stage presence and vocal abilities that Debbie had in her prime? Don't think so!

Ah, 1979. Do you remember it? It was all happening then. Suddenlly out of no where came Heart of Glass what a tune. Next up One Way Or Another was gonna getcha. Robert Fripp contributed to this record on Fade Away And Radiate. The great thing about this album is definetly the production value stylings of Mike Chapman. Cool cover as well. Bonus tracks are allright although I missed the instrumental Of Heart Of Glass, with all those swooshes in the song. Anyways a must have in your music collection, put on those boogie shoes cause this record will make you want to dance (again ok!)
