It did truly change my life. I was 14 years old. I was smart, not abused or geeky but i needed a true outlet... I had loved spinning girl group 45's and Beatles records handed down to me. Parallel Lines introduced me to sarcasm. And it stuck. Also it's just a perfect record. Mike Chapman helped shape my adolescence, but this is his (almost) crowning moment. This album is already a classic, and the bonus live cuts that appear on this CD make it even better. This is a foundation purchase if you're into proto-punk, punk, new wave, no wave, and/or post-punk. Not as punk as some of their very early material, yet not as new-wave/disco as some of their later material. All in all, this album displays a good cross-section of many of the genres that were bursting out of NY at the time.Free Music Review: Their absolute best!!!

This new reissue of Blondie's biggest selling release is a dream come true for us Blondie fans. The remastered sound is amazing compared to the previous domestic release. However, they should've kept the original version of "Heart Of Glass" as heard on the LP, and add the longer Disco Version as a bonus track. Every track in "Parallel Lines" is amazing, even the ones that did not make it as singles.Free Music Review: The Lines are Parallel

This was the second album i bought by Blondie.when i first heared it i was listening to the best music in the world!
and of course it is my favorite album!
who doesn't like One Way or Another or Hanging on the Telephone?
11/59 is also a great song so is Picture This and I Know But I Don't Know.

This is their best cd ever! The lyrics are catchy and it has a great beat. The music is fun, profanity free, and all age groups can enjoy it. My 2 year old and 4 year old sister enjoy it, I enjoy it (I'm 13 years old), My 17 year old sister enjoys it, even my mom enjoys it! So if your looking for music that you can all agree on, this is your choice!
