Free Music Review: Melodic Death Metal that embraces techno

OK, let me start out by saying that I don't keep up with all of the music genres. Last I checked, bands like Soilwork and In Flames fell under the category of melodic death metal and since Blood Stain Child reminds me of those bands, that where I'm throwing them in. They are similar in delivery in the sense of fast drums, aggresive guitars and generally screamy vocals. However, there are two elements that make them unique from Soilwork, In Flames or Children of Bodem. (1) Other types of vocals. From time to time they throw in clean female vocals. (Metropolice, Freedom). They also throw in some sort of nerdy/nasaly vocal style on a number of songs that I didn't care for at first and still don't particularly like now (Cyber Green, Pitch Black Room). (2) A true embrace of techno/dance/synth/industrial. I'm always looking for bands that use keyboard to take their music to another level rather than add little background noises and this group will stop every other instrument to let an electronic breakdown really standout. Freedom and Neo-Gothic-Romance are two tracks that really showcase this. Songs like this that take a step back from the constant double bass kicks and harsh vocals really leave a positive lasting impression.
