This has got to be the Best Soundtrack I've heard so far. Normally with some Soundtracks, you get the odd songs that aren't worth listening to. But with Blue Crush, EVERY SONG is WiCkEd!!
There's a variety of awesome mixes of Rock-fast beat, and chilled-relaxed tunes that make you crank up the stereo! This CD would be even better if it had included more songs (eg. Youth of the Nation, POD)
The movie is also definately worth checking out!! -Comedy and some surfing action that just makes you wanna get out there and surf!!

I'm not sure what Suzanne from Madison is talking about in her review. All the music that's on the soundtrack is in the film, and I think the album really conveys a great, fun feeling (like the movie).However, the soundtrack doesn't include POD's "Youth of a Nation" and Moby's "Jam for the Ladies" which are both featured in the film. Personally, I didn't miss their presence on the album at all.
Also, obviously, the soundtrack album doesn't include any of Paul Haslinger's instrumental film score.

This soundtrack has such awesome songs. I love the fact that the songs are not just rap or hip hop, there are various types of songs. These are also GREAT dancing songs, and they get you into the mood to surf and "Party Hard". The only thing that I miss is the fact that "Alive" by P.O.D. isn't on the soundtrack, but it doesn't matter, it's still awesome. I loved this soundtrack!! I hope they make a Blue Crush 2 because I'm sure it would have just as good songs as the first one.Free Music Review: Blue Crush soundtrack

I bought this after seeing the movie and enjoying the hot Jamaican beats and fun surfer music. This soundtrack is probably one of the best out there, creating an experience that makes you feel as if you're in the movie, or easily recreates the whole movie for you. The trip-pop songs are fun and timeless-perfect for a day at the beach or a pool party. It was disappointing that P.O.D. "Youth of the Nation" was not on the soundtrack, but this minor flaw is masked by other superior songs.Free Music Review: Cool!

This soundtrack is totally awesome, and it's fun to listen to. My favorites are If I Could Fall In Love by Lenny Kravitz, Cruel Summer by Blestination, Big Love by Chicken, Everybody Got Their Something by Nikka Costa, and Destiny by Zero 7. Destiny is soothing and relaxing, while the other tracks are very upbeat. I wouldn't recommend this cd, though. It depends on whether you like rap. The Blue Crush soundtrack has a different style to it, but I enjoy it!
