Free Music Review: CD Problems -- Warning!

As others have already commented, the packaging for this collection, as beautiful as it is, leaves Dylan fans in the cold because of the content--the songs have all been collected numerous times before. The music itself, however, is top-rated, and for someone listening to Dylan for the first time, this is a good collection for starters.
My problem, and the reason for the warning, is that I cannot listen to my set. The cute little mini-vinyl CDs cannot be read by my Mac. What has Columbia done? Again, the music is good, the CDs are unusable. Mac users, be warned!
UPDATE!: It looks like it may only be MacBook Pro users. Still looking into why.

As a 21 year old, I obviously wasn't around for Bob Dylan's glory days, but you people make it sound like greatest hits albums don't come out every week! Seriously, if the people looking at this item are thinking about buying it, they probably don't own any of the other many Bob Dylan sets! If you are a new Dylan fan, this is a fantastic place to start. With all the music he has out there, there will always be some omissions, but, that happens with all best-ofs out there. Do yourself a favor, and ignore the other morons on these reviews, and buy what you see before you. You won't be disappointed.Free Music Review: Fantastic

One word FANTASTIC!
This album covers so much. It does not cover everything but it gives you the best of the best. I love how in the booklet it gives you the album that the track originally appeared on. That way you can fill in the gaps in your collection or focus on a particular period of Dylan's career. Sound is perfect the presentation is spot on. It is a better compilation than the "Essential..." series that all the major names have out. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful package With a nice eclectic presentation of a man's life. The second CD is my favorite tho' I really enjoyed Brownsville Girl on the 3rd. The first CD Has Masters of War a song that was relavent when penned and oh so relivent once again. The tone and quality are excellent. There are so many new fans of Bob Dylan and many more will come to appreciate the music of this genius, so why not put out a new set? I saw him in concert the other night and there were so many people under 20 there. Perhaps they will buy this set and gain an appreciation for Dylan's entire career. I have every CD he has put out and I am buying "Dylan."
