Free Music Notes for Together Through LifeFree Music Review: Another great album from the master of songwriting Hit: 5 Stars
TTL is another great album from Dylan, an album that grows everytime I listen. Musically much have been said of the strong bluesinfluence and of course it s there but with a twist. The simple barroom blues of Jolene has a groove only experience can create with a guitar riff to die for, My wifes hometown is Muddy revisted but the lyrics are really something else. The album also contain two of Dylans most beatiful melodies ever in life is hard and this dream of you - the later an absolutely gorgeous mix between early sixties Doc Pomus pop and tex mex. In a way the whole album sounds like an old black and white movie from the fifties. Musically david Hidalgos accordeon is priceless and the album as a whole is more fun to listen to than most Dylan albums. His voice is a bit worn and shot but the way he uses this particular instrment makes it one of his most effective vocalexkursions ever. Lyrically it s lesser words than Dylan normally uses, more straightforward but at it s best nothing short of great poetry. It s great that at least one old master continue to deliver, amaze and entertain us.
Free Music Review: Another Gem From Bob Dylan & Jack Frost Hit: 5 Stars
Together Through Life is another great album from the unbeatable team of Bob Dylan & Jack Frost. The album takes several careful listens to weave it's magic but the all the elements of Bob Dylan's greatest work are here: Great lyrics, fantastic music and his endless ability to surprise his fans with something new and original.
The 3 albums Dylan has done with Jack Frost are my favourite of all of Dylan's work as they have reinvigorated his sound & music for the new millenium as well as amplified all his strengths.
My ratings out of 10 for the tracks are:

Free Music Review: Dylan Does It Again Hit: 5 Stars
Bob Dylan: Together Through Life Songbook PVG
I'm driving my 64 1/2 Mustang convertible in the Arizona sun, listening to Bob Dylan. Just like I did 40 years ago. Just like I'm doing today. As I've aged, he has. I like to think we've grown up together, getting wiser as time goes by. Read what Alex Beam in the Boston Globe has to say in Dylanology 101, March 20, 2009.
Dylan has been here, there, everywhere. I've seen him in big venues and little ones. I've taken my children and their friends. They've taken me.
Together Through Life is superb. Incredible. There is always a new favorite song or line . . .
Free Music Review: Classic Dylan Hit: 5 Stars
Well I've been a Dylan fan since age 15 back in '78, I've got all the albums on vinyl & CD and loads of boots etc, seen him in concert over 30 times and met the great man twice in one week back in '93. I'm not such a big fan of the recent "trilogy" I think Dylan became fashionable in recent times and the last three albums are way overrated. I much prefer his 70's & 80's work (Desire,Street Legal,Slow Train,Shot of Love,Infidels & Oh Mercy bieng highlights). But I like this record, the vibes are good, the tex-mex accordian sounds remind me of Desire. Dylan sounds like he's enjoying himself here, I've been playing this a lot and I highly recommend it. Also check out my favourite all time Dylan Track "Wigwam" from 1970's "Self Portrait" Genius!!!
Free Music Review: All Those Fans Can't Be Wrong Hit: 5 Stars
This CD was released on April 28th and by May 6th it was #1 in both the U.S. and the U.K. All those fans can't be wrong. To those who gave it only a one or two star rating: It's obvious from your posts that you simply don't understand Dylan. In fact it's just as obvious that you don't understand music. In fact, it was interesting that some of you can't even write a grammatically correct, coherent sentence. So much for your intelligence.
The bottom line is that if you love Dylan, you'll love this CD. If you like Dylan, you'll like this CD. If you hate Dylan, you'll hate this CD. However, if you hate Dylan, I'm afraid there's little hope for you.
