Free Music Review: Less Known But Great Marley Album
Hit: 5 Stars

Most of these songs (other than Buffalo Soldier) never made in the always popular Marley compilations such as Legend. Too bad since there are some great songs in here. One of my favorite reggae albums.

Free Music Review: Awesome
Hit: 5 Stars

I agree that this shouldn't be the first Bob Marley album for anyone to own. It was released after his death and it is a compilation of songs recorded around the time "Uprising" was being made. Not to say its bad, but it shouldn't be anyone's introduction to this legend's music.

That being said, this is still an amazing album. Almost every song is a Marley classic. The only song that doesn't exactly fit is "I Know," but that song is still not a reason to not buy this. You should probably buy all of Bob's other studio albums first, and then you'll know whether or not this is right for you. I love everything Marley, so I'm biased.

Hit: 5 Stars

Bob Marley is #1 This cd is just more proof.
A very fun and enjoyable selection of songs & music.

Free Music Review: Rastaman Live Up!
Hit: 5 Stars

Reggae is angry protest music from the ghetto. It is also the gospel music of the Rastafari religion, founded by Marcus Garvey. Funny it is also the sound of sun, surf and sea.
This album, released posthumously in 1983, two years after Bob Marley's passing has an uplifting beat and interesting lyrics, from the 1983 smash Buffalo Soldier to the fast rythymmed `Mix up, Mix Up', the story of the Jamaican ghetto `Trench Town', the Rastafarian hymn ` Give Thanks and Praise', Marley's satirical piece hitting back at his critics ` Stiff Necked Fools' and the bouncy and inspiring `Rastaman Live Up'

This is uplifting and rhythmic stuff, which eases into your body, making you sway to the beat. It is a very good first Marley's album to get, and one of his lighter catchier works.
Note the reference of Rasta religious wordings to Israel and Zion, and the enmity against Rome and Babylon.

Free Music Review: This album was made in 1980, when he was ill believe it or not!
Hit: 5 Stars

who wudda thought bob was ill when he did this album, it is a masterpiece, even though they thought Uprising was better, (which was done at the same time).

Many of these songs deserved to be on legend!
