Free Music Notes for Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers (New Packaging)Free Music Review: One of the best! Hit: 5 Stars
Aruably the best "greatest hits" collection of any artist out there, "Legend" gives a good glimpse of all the reasons Bob Marley is famous and even iconic. The reggae sound makes his music unique and pioneering, the catchiness makes the songs appealing on a "pop" level, and the soul and spirit of Bob's voice makes the lyrics as meaningful and poignant today as they were in the 1970s. Every song on here is a gem, from the slow jamming of "I Want to Love You," the upbeat and steady guitar of "Could you Be Loved," and the soulful live version of "No Woman No Cry." Bob Marley died young and tragically, and it's impossible to predict whether the rest of his life would have proven to be as creatively brilliant and prolific. Nonetheless, this album deserves all the praise it has been given over the years. It is a nice introduction to Bob's legacy.
Free Music Review: Must have for any true fan Hit: 5 Stars
Anyone with taste is going to love this album. Has classic Marley tunes that even the most cursery reggae fan will know. While I don't consider myself by any stretch a true reggae afficinado, this is the one album I own on vinyl, tape and now CD. One Love, which frankly I skip over becuase all I can think of are the commercials now when I hear it, is still a great didity. For Eric Clapton fans, here the orginal version of I Shot the Sheriff. Buffalo Soldier and others are just truly classic songs. From begining to end this CD is wonderful. The two bonus tracks are OK and don't take anything away, but also don't add much to this wonderful collection. VH1, for those who care, has this listed as one of the Ultimate Albums. If you've never listened to reggae before, there is no better place to start than with this artist and this album.
Free Music Review: Bob Marley, a poet and a prophet. Hit: 5 Stars
This isn't just the first place people start their "Bob Marley" collection, it's the first place they start their reggae collection. Why? Because "Bob" is the king of reggae, like "Elvis" is the king of rock n' roll. This cd is full of classics, and each one deserves to be on here. "Stir it Up", "One Love", and "Redemption Song", are just three of the moving songs included. Plus the tracks "Buffalo Soldier", "Waiting in Vain", and a live "No Woman No Cry". These songs can be deep and thought provoking, or simple like a sunny day. Regardless of the topic though, it's hard not to smile and move your feet. After "Bob Marley and the Wailers", check into "Peter Tosh" and "HR".

Free Music Review: What else can be said? Hit: 5 Stars
What could I say that hasen't already been said about this great musician? He was a prophet who could touch everyone from all cultures through his music. This was the very first CD that I ever purchased in my life many years ago and as you know, you can hear it over and over. If you're at home having a party and don't know what to throw in the player because you have so many different types of people there than this is the CD to put in because you can never go wrong with this!
I rarely recommend other products along with a review but if you like musicians who 'preach' through their music than I think you would also like Jack Johnson. All in all though, Marley is a step above the rest for sure, one who was 'tapped' to get in touch with us all! This CD is worth every cent!
