Free Music Review: Politics that's easy to take
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of Bob's more political works. Recorded around the time that the last colonialized African nations were fighting for independence. "Zimbabwe," "Africa Unite," "One Drop," "Baylon System" and "Ride Natty Ride" all deal with African liberation and/or the teachings of rastafarianism's place in this scheme of things. "Ambush in the Night" and "Top Rankin'" (sometimes known as "They Don't Wanna See Us Unite") deal with the assassination attempt on Marley in 1976. While musically speaking, this is a great album, you might wanna read up on rastafarianism and recent African history to fully get what Bob's talking about.

Free Music Review: Best album by Bob Marley and the Wailers
Hit: 5 Stars

I would rank Bob Marley's best albums as Exodus, Rastaman Vibration and this one, Survival. Exodus includes in number the most well known songs, whereas Rastaman Vibration and Survival contain some of his best lesser known songs. Survival is popularly known as his most "politically charged" album. This is probably a fair appraisal. I believe it was released in 1979 when he was at his peak in my opinion. The song Survival is probably my favorite track on the album, and probably my favorite Bob Marley track overall.

Free Music Review: BOB'S BEST WORK
Hit: 5 Stars

Being a huge fan of Bob Marley, I consider this my favorite album of his. I dig his songs about love and no worries (while many of those songs are deeper than their surface value), but this album just seems to embody his true beliefs on a more serious level. He was a revolutionary, and with the warrior's spirit in this album, his revolutionary heart will beat forever. Don't pass up this revolution on a disc.

Free Music Review: The Genius of Marley
Hit: 5 Stars

There were probably better releases before and after Survival, but for me because I was part of the ecstatic audience the night of 17 April to morning of 18 April 1980 Zimbabwe Independence Celebrations (an all nighter no less) this album will always be Bob Marley's best.

So Much Trouble In The World, Zimbabwe need I say more? This poetic genius was in my corner!!!

Free Music Review: How can you be sitting there...
Hit: 5 Stars

Buy this album. You know Bob Marley doesn't disappoint. This probably shouldn't be your first Bob Marley album, though, as Catch A Fire and Burnin' are probably the best introductions to Bob' music. However, if this is your first Bob album, you won't be disappointed. I would list my favorite songs on the album but I just love them all. Get this album and be happy.
