Free Music Notes for UprisingFree Music Review: Marley's best album Hit: 5 Stars
Though there isn't any denying that Exodus is his most famous album, Uprising is my personal favorite. Nearly every song makes you want to get up and dance. It is a true credit to Marley's song writing and singing abilities that he can take serious social themes and not only put them to notes, but also to make the listener smile and feel uplifted. On top of this, Redemtion Song is one of the best songs ever written by anyone. You can't go wrong in buying this album.
Free Music Review: Unbelievable Hit: 5 Stars
Now more than ever, people understand through these newly released remastered albums how Bob Marley is one of if not the greatest singer to ever live. He is the only artist I know that every album he creates can lift you up when you are not feeling sharp. Songs such as Coming in from the Cold and Could this be love are so captivating, it is almost hard to express it. Bob Marley is the only artist ever who has never released a bad song.
Free Music Review: Only a couple of well known songs Hit: 5 Stars
The beauty here is that we get a bunch of Marley songs that haven't been overplayed. 'Could You Be Loved' is the closest the cd comes to something that has been overplayed.
And that leaves us we Bob's brillance. The guy could write a song and a catchy one at that. If you've filled your collection with Exodus, Burnin', and Catch A Fire then this is a good next step.
Excellent sound also.
Free Music Review: One of his best Hit: 5 Stars
Although exodus had most of his classic songs, this album does contain some as well. The last album of his career, (Confrontation I believe was released posthumously), it really does sum up his message. Redemption Song and Could You Be Loved? are absolute classics that have and will stand the test of time. Coming in from the cold is a great song and so is everying thing on the album. This is a classic.
Free Music Review: Good Place to Start-Is there a bad place to start w/Marley? Hit: 5 Stars
Bob Marley & The Wailers' last album might seem like a strange place to start, but it was my first Wailers' album, and it is still my favorite. There aren't any huge 'hits' here, but there aren't any songs that aren't classics. Be aware that you might have to give this album repeated listens before you can "cultivate" a real appreciation for this classic reggae album.
