I was wondering if we would ever hear Bob Seger again, and what he was up to. 'Face the promise' fell short of my expectations, ok there is still this good old sound and the hammering and chorus that Bob Seger is good at, but not in a very exciting way anymore. Basics are there, but there is something missing, and at the end it is not very inspiring.Free Music Review: Seger Rocks

This new CD from Bob Seger is great! It consist of all new material virtualy all of it writen by Bob. Out of twelve songs there is only one (Simplicity) that I just didn't care for, that's not bad. On most CD's there is only a couple songs that are good with a bunch of duds thrown in to fill up ten tracks, so in my book this is also a great bargin. If your a Seger fan treat yourself, you won't regreat it!

Its like 30 years ago... his voice is the same, and the songs on this CD are wonderful. I've played and re-played it; great to hear something new from Seger. Went to see him in Detroit in December and as a reporter wrote after seeing him, "his best songs have now transcended their original forms and context to become something bigger than themselves, embedded deep within the bond between artist and audience. While the voice has changed somewhat with age, the beat and
cut-to-the-core lyrics are vintage Seger! Love the anti-war song.

I am huge fan of Bob's and after hearing this it is only rekinkled my interest. There was only one song that I didn't care for, but it was still good! Don't stay away so long. We love you Bob and I can't wait to see you on tour
