Put equal parts Mancini, Nino Rota, Cab Calloway, Tito Puente, and Dick Dale in a shaker. Shake vigorously. Spritz with gorgeous and hilarious Hindi vocals. And you have a mind blowing musical cocktail that will amaze and astonish. I've been a music critic, club DJ, record exec, producer, and musician... truly not to boast... but just to say music is my world... and this collection is at the top of my list of lists. How did these virtuoso arrangers, composers, and performers hit on this incredible mix of diverse elements? No one told them they couldn't do it. 'Cause they were half a world away. I got hip to this world after seeing the movie "Ghost World" in which the opening titles feature the incredible dance number to "Jan Pechanho", the music of which is on this comp. BTW, of you've seen the movie.. the "singer" in the number is lip sincing Mohammed Rafi's vocal.. ans is actually the choreographer of the sequence. And if you love this music, I'd say that gets you a pass to the world's "cool club."Free Music Review: Unique

I bought this CD last summer, and - together with Bombshell Baby of Bombay - there has rarely been a day that I have not listened to it. My favourite track on the album is Yeh Dhuaan, a symphonic masterpiece that makes me think of the widescreen desert images of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West. The Sote Sote Adhi Raat track is also a masterpiece. I don't understand one word of hindi, but I'm able to sing it along almost word by word.Free Music Review: Be prepared to dance, dance, dance!

You might not understand what they're singing about, but there's no doubting that this is some pretty amazing and catchy music. Also contains the musical number "Jan Pahechan Ho" which was featured in the opening credits of the film "Ghost World" so if you were like me and you constantly watched and re-watched that part just to hear the music, then you really should get this.Free Music Review: Trippy!

Great, great album. I don't speak a single word of the language but I'll sing "Ek Bottle Ho Bagal Main" as if I've been living there my entire life. Just a great song.
