Free Music Notes for 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be WrongFree Music Review: I just LOVE the packaging! Hit: 5 StarsNot a big Bon Jovi fan, but I have to say this box set is worth every penny, just for the packaging alone. Great job!
Free Music Review: WOW - Bon Jovi did it again!!! Hit: 5 StarsWhat an incredible box set... In the beginning I was worried that it would just contain demos, outtakes and what nots of already known and famous songs. But this is not the case. Most of the songs are never heard, never published and many times I had to stop myself and ask - WHY NOT???
Songs like "Garageland", "Miss 4th of July", "Open all night" or "Staring all over again" or "Last man Standing" (to name but a few of those fun, song-packed four CDs) are all more than album worthy.
The 5th disk is a DVD, which is very fun and interesting to watch- Jon and Co talk about the different songs and it definitely helps to round out this wonderful box set.
100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong - sooo true - and again, no fault w/ this set either.
Bon Jovi have outdone themselves. THANK YOU GUYS!
Free Music Review: A Treasure!!!! Hit: 5 StarsPay no attention to the FEW and far between bad comments about this band and this box set. Jealousy is a nasty bug. This box set rocks! Just like the band does. If you don't like the set, fine...just say you don't like. Don't act like a child and call names and show your low iq. Just say it isn't your type of music or you didn't care for it. As far as this long time Jovi fan is concerned...it absolutely rocks!!!!!
Finally a band that doesn't just make a box set of all the songs you have already heard! WOW!
Free Music Review: Bon Jovi at their finest Hit: 5 StarsBon Jovi has endured the test of time from the hair metal, to grunge, to modern times. I have always appreciated the cheesy lyrics and great guitar solos. On this box set, is all that and more.
The most surprising songs on this collection are Tico Torres and David singing. When Tico sings "Only In My Dreams", his bluesy voice just moves you. When David sings "Memphis", you feel the song and his passion. If they make solo albums, I'm buying them.
You cannot go wrong with this set. Even at full price, its worth every penny.
Free Music Review: Can't Go Wrong With This One! Hit: 5 StarsI watched the DVD before listening to the music, and I recommend that to anyone who purchases this set also. It gives you insight to "where Bon Jovi was" at the time they wrote/recorded the songs and gives you a little history behind them. A great DVD to have with a lot of history of their music with insight into the band, the members... just some great info.
As for the music... never has a boxed set been released like this, and only Bon Jovi would have thought of it. There are sooooooo many songs here, great quality sound too. Unreleased songs that never made it onto albums they were written for, B-sides, a few origional demos - about 40 never before heard songs. For you die-hard old time "I have to hear the origional version of the older songs *just* like they are on the CDs or the song sucks" Bon Jovi fans, this set has a lot of music that will bring you back to yester-year. For the newer fans, this will give you a fantastic idea of why Bon Jovi has been around for 20 years and will probably be a band that *your* kids listen to just like mine do now. For you more open minded Jovi fans who don't mind growing with the band... you'll kick yourself if you pass on this one and *not* just for the origional demo versions of a few of their released songs.
I have pretty much every Bon Jovi album/DVD ever produced, and with all of these unreleased treasures, it's a wonder why they didn't produce a couple more CD's over the years since they write roughly 30 tracks for every CD they produce. Hopefully they'll dig into their vault again in the future and treat us with another box set of unreleased songs. Jon's incredible voice is like no other and he constantly impresses me with their music and his singing talent, but I'd also love to hear more of Tico on vocals with his deep, raspy voice. He has an almost Louis Armstrong sort of quality to his voice which I like a lot, and the avenues the band could explore with his voice could be really interesting to say the least, and also more of David on vocals too - he blew me away completely. I have one of Richie's CDs, so I know how good he is, but Tico and David were a real treat to hear. I could go on and on, but I think you guys get the idea that this is a GREAT CD set, and a Bon Jovi fan MUST have! It really deserves more than 5 stars!
