Free Music Notes for Lost HighwayFree Music Review: Bon Jovi does it again Hit: 5 Stars
I was a hair band fan from way back and always loved Bon Jovi. What I always loved about the Hair Band days was the power ballad. The power ballad always had the strong hook and most importantly the strong lyrics. As the hair bands faded, I found what I loved in Country music. The strong hook and the powerful lyric, has been present in Country music for a long time. I am not a fan of some of the old time Country, but I am in the newer Country. Bon Jovi has taken that New Country in this albumn and even taken it further. This has the same Bon Jovi feel that I have always loved, yet it has that Nashville feel. I know there have been very personal feelings in the lyrics of this album from what has gone on in Sambora and Bryant's personal lives. That has just cemented the greatness of this. "A Whole Lot of Leaving Going On" totally exemplifies this. I am still proud of my Hair Band loving roots, and this album shows the growth of not only Bon Jovi as a band, but myself as a person also. The party anthems are still here, and it is great to have a country flavor to them. What else could you ask from Bon Jovi?
Free Music Review: This is the one to buy! Hit: 5 Stars
I have never been a fan of Bon Jovi. Of course, as a female, I have been fond of Jon Bon Jovi, just not his music, until now. Usually, when I buy a CD, I like maybe three songs on the whole album. Not this time! What a surprise from beginning to end. The lyrics are understandable, the tunes are great and I find myself singing the songs while I'm driving. There is only one song on the entire CD that I don't care for, 'We got it going on' but, I just skip it and keep on listening. I bought the CD strictly for the song, 'Make a Memory' but have found that I really like "Whole Lot of Leaving" just as much if not more. Seat next to you comes in a close third. 'I Love This Town' has a slight rock beat that makes it hard to not sing along as does 'Any Other Day'. I can't say enough positive about this CD. If you have never been a Bon Jovi fan, then this is the cd to make you one. This is the best CD I have ever purchased and will not part with it! It is on my mp3 player and in my car. I did purchase another Bon Jovi cd that is their "classic" style and did not listen to it more than once. This is the one to buy!
Free Music Review: Incredible. One word: MASTERPIECE!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I must say I was introduced to Bon Jovi's music in 1992. I think it was the best time period to get to know the band. At the time the band and the whole music scene was changing and I immediately fell in love with the band's new sound. Of course I was aware of the existing of the band before 1992 as well, but when Keep the Faith came out I think the band gained a wider audience. I consider that album a watershed in their career. At the time the album was the most listened one among my albums. As I was getting older and wiser of course my taste changed and after These days I lost my interest in the band. Now I've got all their albums but this latest release is considered the most powerful and artistically the most mature album they have ever written. They proved they have grown up and can gain themselves a brand new audience in another music genre as well. I take this change for a very good step after "Have a nice day".
I just simply can't get enough of this album. I keep listening to it every day. It deserved number one status all around the world.
BRAVO BOYS KEEP ON ROCKING!
Free Music Review: Bon Jovi Grows Old With Their Fans - And Delivers Us A Great Piece of Recording Hit: 5 Stars
Well, well...so we have now a more melodic and soulful Bon Jovi here. It is OK. It is kind of impossible to keep the "New Jersey" and "Slippery When Wet" style forever. After twenty years of career, a growth in maturity was expected. I am not saying that their previous releases were good: they were simply a reflection of a different time whey they used to rock! Even being different now, they still rock!
We - the Bon Jovi earliest fans - also have grown up, and so our musical tastes. What they did with "Lost Highway" was to keep up with the times. This is a good piece of recording and deserves praise and respect.
It is beautifully written and arranged. A record that you just can't keep listeining after getting it. My personal favorites are: "Make a Memory", "Any Other Day" and "Everybody's Broken". The only track I often skip is "I Love This Town", to be honest.
Avoid comparison with previous albums, because it's just not comparable. Leave all preconceptions behind and enjoy the ride over the Lost Highway!
Free Music Review: I love this new album from Bon Jovi Hit: 5 Stars
I love this new album from Bon Jovi. Jon sounds a lot softer than I am used to hearing him, but that is okay with me. My favorite track is Jon's duet with Leeann Rimes. "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore" is an excellent song about the difficulty of maintaining a relationship between two people. "Summertime" is a track about having fun and kicking back with friends. This is the perfect tune for the summer season. I love the title track too. This song is about how life is a journey and an adventure. "Any Other Day" is another strong track. I love Jon's guitar playing and vocals on this song very much. This song is about getting through the grind of daily life. "You Want To Make A Memory" and "Seat Next To You" are two sweet love songs. I like these tracks very much "We Got It Going On" is a nice rock and roll song. I love the beat of this track very much. I Love This Town is another good track Any person who loves their home town can relate to the lyrics of this song. This CD is very enjoyable to listen to.
