Free Music Review: I love every song on this CD.The Best Album of 2000

I would have never bought the "Bounce" soundtrack,and heard of these fantastic new artist,most of them female,if it wasn't for Carly Simon.I've been hearing great things about the remix of her single,"Our Affair," from Carly's CD,"The Bedroom Tapes."Richard Perry tightened the song,and change Carly's voice on the hook.I'm sure radio stations are going to play this newer mix,even though I love the original just as much.The rest of the CD is Brilliant.Most of the music is Mid Tempo rock,with a club sound,except for the last cut by BT,"Never gonna come back Down." This number's more of a rap mix,and its great,like all the other cuts.The two hits played on the radio,"Need to be next to you," by Sixpence None the Richer,and "Here with me," by Dido,are climbing up the pop charts,like every song on this collection will be.The outstanding cuts I can't stop playing are "Central Reservation," by Beth Orton.I love this artist's voice,its so layed back,and the song has a club fill to it,with a fantastic break,with just Beth talking,then the drums come in,followed by the bass.You want to get up and dance when you hear this second song from the CD.Sarah McLachlan's duet with Delerium,"Silence," with a latin chant,is magical.This number is so relaxing.You fill like your in a dream.Sophie B.Hawkins,"Lose you way," is diffent from the rest of the numbers.Its very acoustic and wonderfull.I always loved Sophie's voice,and I want her back on the charts.My all time favorite cut is "Rome wasn't built in a Day," by Morcheeba.I think this artist is the one were going to be talking about for years to come.When you play this song,you start to smile.Morcheeba has a voice that is so pretty,and the record has you singing along the first time you play it.I could write about every number on this Album.There's not one cut I want to skip over.The "Bounce" soundtrack is one of the greatest CD's from 2000.You will not be able to stop playing it.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck may take starring credits for this Don Roos (The Opposite of Sex) film, but it's Leigh Nash, singer for Sixpence None the Richer, stepping out into the spotlight with the soundtrack's first single, "Need to Be Next to You." Perhaps a solo career beckons. However, her band is featured as well with the remix of "Love" from their 1997 self-titled debut album. Sarah McLachlan collaborates with the moody ambient group Delerium for their otherworldly single, "Silence." Morcheeba offer the moody groove of "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day." Lots of notable female artists contribute delicate, soft-rock confectioneries, from old-school Carly Simon (a remix of "Our Affair" from her latest album, The Bedroom Tapes) to up-and-comer Tara MacLean.
